Kerry on local radio at the American Legion convention in Nashville.
He starts off by buying John Glenn's support by promising him another trip into space.
Opening joke about him having a problem keeping his speech under 10 minutes falls absolutely flat.

I wondered about that licking of his lips -- someone said that drug users do it. I don't know it that is true and I'm not implying that Kerry is using.
Not so here -- if they mail you an Absentee Ballot, you're not allowed to vote at the polls. You can drop your AB at the county courthouse, though. Probably true most places.
The former residents of the whitehouse knew he was toast before they encouraged the dnc to get rid of dean and come up with kerry. They want to make sure ole broadbeam has her chance to once again destroy the integrety of the United States, make sure we have socialized medicine, control the number and kind of doctors allowed in medical school, fill the various departments of our government with boy/girls and girl/boys, deplete true judicial employees in our Justice Department, set up her personal police force. I know I'm exagerating somewhat, but it's not far off. Remember what she tried the first year x42 was in office.

Thanks! I didn't see the crowd, but I figured it would be big. Vets can get pretty rowdy, so they obviously were disgusted with Kerry. I can't believe he's so stupid to try to talk to them after he received such a poor reception at the last veteran's group he spoke to. Kerry seems to be the only one who doesn't remember how he treated them after the Viet Nam war. They sure didn't forget.

I'd certainly like to hear from them today. If they are still anti-war and bitter, it hurts Kerry. If they regret their actions, it still hurts Kerry.

Everyone can ask for and receive an absentee ballot. You don't have to use it, but, it's a safeguard just in case you can't make it to the polls.
In Maryland, if you ask for an absentee ballot, your name will not appear on the voters' list books at the precinct, and you will have to fill in a 'provisional' ballot, which is a hassle.
Thanks. I should have realized it's not going to be the same in all states.
I checked again with out state RNC, and here in Arizona you are able to vote that day even if you had requested an absentee ballot.
Everyone should check their state voting regulations. Sorry for the confusion.
