The exposing of Kerry's senate record seemed just absolutely devastating to me. And Kerry was just a sitting target since he had left it as a blank page for Zell and Dick to fill in, in their own way. As I said, I did not even myself appreciate the enormity of Kerry's consistent errors in judgment myself, and I was there to witness it and a political junkie, and was frankly unfamiliar with much of it. I had even not had front and center in my mind that Kerry had voted against Gulf War I.

Well, LOL! This is no BS folks, my laptop went up in smoke!

I am forced back on to my homemade clunker in the kitchen.

Zell's speech and the fight with pissy chrissy totally wiped out my Dell and filled my living-room with smoke.{not to mention a hot lap)

This will slow me down some! LOL

It was worth it!

You're spot on. What the hell kind of question is it to ask if he really meant spitballs? Stupid. Also the leading question about whether Zell really believed that the Massh*les didn't want to defend the country.

I have followed PhiKapMom's advice. I watch C-SPAN and don't watch the pundits.

Of course, I missed Zell taking apart Chris Matthews, but reading it here was almost as good.

The greatest thing about tonight is that Zell has made me unafraid to say what I really think about Kerry to the democrats I come in contact with. I am a bit reluctant to confront them when they start in, but if Zell can stand up, well so can I.

Going to bed now. What a night!!!

Well, Miller's sppech wasn't aimed at undecideds - it was aimed at "reflex Democrats" who had already decided to vote for Kerry without really thinking it through.

And Kerry's going permanently to lose a lot those votes tonight.

Miller was like a furious Foghorn Leghorn: "Boy! I say, boy! Pay attention to me when I'm talking to you, boy!"

Tonight he met a man and he came out looking like the ineffectual scared little boy inside the bully that he truly is.

How true. Matthews looked totally sheepish at the end, as if he were confused by Miller's anger. Perhaps he will realize that he has no right to disrespect his guests (as he did with O'Neill and Malkin) and expect theirs in return.

But I DID vote.

I'm watching that too. Klein talking about how civil Democrats have been. How they reached out to swing voters. CNN is a joke. Dem spin 24/7.

I absolutely LOVE FReepers, and love seeing their opinions; however, there are times like these when they see everything through rose-colored glasses... just like the State of the Union and other speeches... FReepers almost universally thought it was great and felt it would be received great by Americans... wrong.

I'm a little late to the thread, I know. :) But anyhoo...BOTH Zell and Cheney kicked major @ss tonight! My eyes were wide open and my jaw was on the floor watching Zell. He said EVERYTHING that I've been wanting to hear from the Repubs for months now.

Sara Evans...Mmmmm. :)

"Mara Liason thought that Zell looked angry, and how that would play in middle American"

Just out of curiosity, how did all these talking heads react to Al Sharpton's speech at the Democratic party convention? Zell on his angriest and worst day looks like a cool cucumber compared to Al Sharpton at any time.
