Laura and Rush and Imus will be playing excerpts of the Mathews/miller exchange. Count on it. Best political theater in a long time
Awful conditions to conduct an interview. MSG has been loud all week and the questions coming from Matthews' crew outside with the freak show noise didn't help.
I think Zell got pissed because he didn't hear Matthews' preface to the "destroying social security" question and it went down hill from there.
Zell makes the excellent point though with the Kerry document from his Senate campaign which specifically recommends cancellation of a whole host of weapons...those were not "parliamentary procedures", the fool actually put it in black and white.
sauropod asked me to thank you for the great screen cap of Zell. He was watching the interview and laughing his @$$ off.
Great tagline!
Joe Klein: "Somebody hug me. Please."
Oh. It's hard being a dad, I'm sure :-)
Yeah, he did kind of lose it. Still fun to watch, but I hope it doesn't backfire.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAA,indeed. :-)
Wow, Juan Williams actually getting something right. That and the "soldiers, not journalist" line are probably the two most impactful of the speech.
"Angry inaccuracies!"
I saw Zell's speech as cathartic... a needed release after this endless barage of attacks from Kerry, McAwful, Michael Moore, Howie Dean, etc....
Zell was playing to W Virginia voters, Joe Six Packs in Ohio and PA.... and the base...
Was he over the top? Hmmm.. maybe just a little.
America saw two Kerrys tonight.
We also saw Kerry bleed more in a single hour
than he did during his entire four month tour in Vietnam.
Jeez -- Matthews is STILL trying to do damage control!!
A Pennsylvania C=Span caller said Zell Miller dealt a death blow to John Kerry's campaign.
It was a darned good over the top, though.
You counted them? LOL
Klein: The speeches were mean and vicious, filled with inaccuracies.
I'm watching that too. Klein talking about how civil Democrats have been. How they reached out to swing voters. CNN is a joke. Dem spin 24/7.
