Kerry appearance at American Legion - live thread
self

Posted on 09/01/2004 4:46:34 AM PDT by rudy45

Sorry for starting this thread so early. Is this like calling "shotgun" three days before the trip starts LOL?

I was trying to find out the time that the Senator's speech will occur. I found nothing at the Legion website (www.legion.org), nor at the Kerry site, nor at CSPAN. When will the speech be given?

Anyway, here is a thread for people to post their comments.

If we are up in PA, I am thrilled. I think Martinez will help in FLA. I just think we need to pull away strong in OH. The Rats are promising to do a Fla 2000 type recount if it's close. If we can pull WI and MN, we are so set!! I feel good, but this guy is really awful. I didn't like seeing him get off his speech today without any resistance.

The night of the election, when GW wins big time, we'll savor every minute, the long faces in the MSM, Judy Woodruff's tears, the mounting tally of electoral votes in GW's column, the misery over at RAT/Kerry headquarters, TerAYsa's outrage that her billions couldn't buy the election for Botoxboy...as she threatened. A caller to Rush just said he thought we were in good shape. We are. Kerry's toast. The fact that he's had to bus people in when he gives stump speeches is really telling. He has nothing to say but that he can't tell us his secret plans for the economy and everything else...his enemies will ruin it. No problemo. Kerry's doing a good job of it all by himself. We weren't born yesterday. We know he plans to RAISE TAXES THROUGH THE ROOF if he gets in. What a great idea. Not. We're already paying more for gas, heat, milk, and everything else. Most families need at least two incomes to make ends meet, and he thinks raising taxes is a plan? He's nuts. We're not. So be of good cheer. He's doomed.

I'm voting for Bush on Nov 2, 2004. Then a week later I'm voting for Kerry. I amd showing my non-partisanship.

I watched it too, he walked to his right, then turned and walked back across the stage and out. Fox never showed the audience directly in front of him.

He looked like he was lost getting offstage; I didn't notice anyone particularly trying to help him or escort him offstage. First to the right; then to the left....he looked like the new guy on the first day of work trying to find the restrooms.

Thanks for the recap. Looks like Kerry is flip flopping again. Reminds me of a fish trying to escape the line. Too late.

No, that's not what I got from Kerry's speech. It was more of the same, and he's not done well with that. His poll numbers are in the cellar and worse because people aren't buying his hogwash. Rush said there was no excitement in the hall this afternoon. That's the last nail in Kerry's coffin.

You know, I am starting to think that some on the Left think Kerry is too much trouble. If he gets in, he will set the Rat party back. He has too much baggage. Read the Note today. Even the media appreciates the professionalism of the GOP. They get that Kerry is a mess. He looks like another Carter. It would be very risky for them to allow him to get in. Maybe soon they will resign themselves to Hillary in '08 vs Rudy or McCain.

A second Bush term will prbably feature one fo the twins getting married. The media would be all over that. Maybe the media will be slightly less in the tank for Kerry. Just a thought...

Papa Bush was just too anxious to please everyone. He couldn't withstand all the pressure. Worn out, I guess.

That, plus I think he and Mrs. Bush were both suffering from some kind of weird thyroid condition.

The media continues to aid Kerry by not mentioning his horrific policy statements. Such as allowing Iran to keep it's nuclear program for energy.......

sure sure sure. Carter redux.

Donna Brazile saying yesterday that Kerry has to hit a home run at the AL today.

Rush called it an intentional walk.

I look at the positive. Kerry showed up late, rushed through his speech, and hightailed it out of there. For all the Democrats' talk of toughness, on national security, they are girly-men.

Poor Donna Brazile. If this was a home run, I'd hate to see what a wake looks like.

Is there any info on how Jean le Kerré was actually received? AL Vets are usually WWII and Korean War Vets, polite, so I wouldn't expect any reall boos or back turning.

Has anyone noticed that the top Clinton people, aides to Hitlery have almost disappeared from le Kerré's campaign?
Jamie Rubin, Lanny Davis.
One of the great things going against le Kerré is that the Clintons want him to lose.

Here's a good question: if the AL doesn't blow Kerry out of the water; who will?

The AL has class, they won't act like a bunch of idiots at the MTV Video Awards.

...To have suffered such carnage in Europe...

I am from the South. The Civil War, which happened over 150 years ago, is still being used by liberals and race whores to further an agenda. The lessons of the Holocaust seem to be forgotten even though there are still many people who can speak of the horrors first hand.

There is no descriptive word in my brain to describe my emotion over such a contradiction. There are no words....

But what do I expect? The usual suspects have tried to sanitize the events of September 11, 2001.
