Yup. Really hard. The line was, "And we had a hamster, too. Let's just say ours didn't make it."

Well, Jerry Falwell was impressed.

"The dark haired one is stunning." Roger that, but isn't it "stuning?"

"Sometimes children should be seen and not heard."
Seems this applies to more than children!
To: COURAGE
I'll remember that when your kids do somthing in public. Go right ahead as long as I've put them out in front of millions of people to look goofy.

It has nothing to do with Polaroid--it's a simile for shaking your body (as in dancing) as referred to in the song "Hey Ya" by Outkast.

Wow. Looks like people either loved or hated the twins. I thought they were cute, though I didn't care for the "Sex and the City" joke. Barbara is absolutely gorgeous.

Now that part I did like.

No kidding, Sherlock!
I've seen Andre 3000 dancing in his green riding pants way too many times in the last year.

I'm an old fart, and this saying has been around for some time.

Band Oatcast say "shake it like a polaroid picture" in their song.

Yup. IMHO, they did fine for young kids with no experience speaking to large crowds and a national TV audience. I could tell that they were nervous but did fine despite the pressure. When I was 22, I was not perfect in every way. Some have forgotten what it was like to be young. Think of yourself as someone fresh out of university and thrust before a national stage with little public speaking skills. I am glad that they were not pompous snobs telling unbearable stories about an Allan Alda-style pappa.

I'm 27, male, in love with the twins, think they are ditzes, yet they are funny. Either Mort Kondrake or Fred Barnes called the twins ditzes tonight. I was very surprised to hear the panel on Fox criticizing them so much. I thought they did okay, not great, but nothing hideous. I could have done without the Sex and the City comment. Also, I am old enough to have shaken quite a few polaroid pictures. I don't know what she meant about getting her parents to shake like a polaroid picture; dance maybe?

Aw, c'mon Mike. :^) The real feedback will come from their own age group. here's what PhiKapMom said..."The girls at my daughter's sorority loved them and thought they were cute. The guy's at my son's fraternity absolutely loved them."

I'm 27, male, in love with the twins, think they are ditzes, yet they are funny. I bet they've scored major points with the 18-30 crowd judging by the horror/consternation of all the old fuddy-duddies on FR and on the networks.
I AGREE!! Most of the folks trashing the twins tonight are my age and I'm 61. By the way, I thought they were GREAT!

The "Sex and the City" thing didn't work. I think GHWB and Barbara (the elder) took it well with good humor as they always do.
Other than that, they did well. To their age group (which I am sure was their target) it worked.
