A judge yesterday threw the book at a protester arrested for setting fire to a papier-maché dragon near the Garden during the protest march on Sunday. Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Patricia Nuñez ordered Yusuke Banno, 21, held in lieu of $200,000 bond or $100,000 cash on charges of inciting a riot, resisting arrest and assaulting Police Officer John Park, 26, whose hand was burned making the arrest, authorities said.

LOL. Left wing commie pinko Hippies - "Peace and Love."
LOL! I suppose his mommy and daddy are going to be furious when they're hit with that bill!
... where they are referred to as Jane Joes.
I hope this serves as a lesson to the other liberal lunatics running loose in New York this week. An arrest now isn't gonna be a trip downtown to have your picture taken and then home to mamma.
There was a protest in a college town in the midwest in 2001. A cop was punched during the protest. The county prosecutor dropped all charges, citing the 1st amendment.
Those little-tuft-of-hair-on-the-chin "beards" are just totally, nauseatingly, gay. Pukus maximus.
Despite a few bad apples, most NYC judges are tough as nails and don't suffer idiots very well. These judges have seen it all and they use an iron fist on those who show disrespect for the system. They deal with punks everyday and they know that a good judicial kick in the a*s is what most of these people deserve. They are fair but they can be very severe when the guilty party deserves it.
Standard tactics for the Kerry Brownshirt Brigade...
I am alway amazed at the creativity that comes from our forum. :)
Also charged were Nicholas Klinovski, who was held on $20,000 bond and Nathan Eberts, who was held on $10,000 bond.
Maybe some of his buddies in the photo?
I think part of the reason for the harshness is that they sneaked the road flares or whatever the were into the area. Could have been a test run for something stronger than a road flare.
You and me both! This, in fact, is how you prevent riots from occurring ... by making arrests and cracking down hard. It's humane, because it saves both lives and property.
I am liking this judge!
Probably. If they don't ID themselves, how can you even know they are citizens?
We have the right not to testify against ourselves, I'm not sure we have the right not to even ID ourselves.
This Banno clown is the design chief for the University of Arizona campus newspaper.
I believe the US Supreme Court recently declined to overturn a decision that upheld the arrest of a citizen for failing to provide ID.
Maybe their names are incriminating, as with the guy who did identify himself.
If so, they have a Fifth Amendment right to remain silent. However, in order to prove that they do have such a right, they'll have to reveal their names.
Figures it was a Wildcat. Go Sun Devils!!!
I hope this chump and his comrades enjoy jail food -- looks like they're going to be eating a lot of it.
