My first thought was to agree with you. However, if these can be used to cover a wound it probably doesn't rate a real Purple Heart. A purple heart printed on a band aid is about all John Kerry rates. Three of these used by John Kerry to get out of combat really cheapened Purple Hearts. Too many people really earned their Purple Hearts.
"Sorry bub, Kerry ran on his Vietnam record. He made it an issue, not us."
Bub? Whatever. Yes, the issue is Kerry's record. It is not about the Purple Heart medal. So, let's discuss his record. Let's not cheapen the medal by using it in this way. There are other ways to make the point, as the Swift Boat Vets are doing. We do not have to lower ourselves to cheap shots.
These are not Purple Heart medals and everyone recognizes that. Instead they show the extent to which John Kerry cheapened the meaning of real Purple Heart medals. I think this conveys that concept perfectly- which is why I like the phrase "Purple Owies"-. It sets apart the ones with JF'nK's image on them from the real, honorable medal.
I called Crackle Creations wanting to order the bandage. They're sold only wholesale and as an assortment only. There must be some other outlet.
BTW, I don't think our wearing this would cheapen a true hero's sacrifice. It does show how cheap Kerry is.
If that pic of the bandaid is accurate, it's totally overdone....all that was necessary was to wear a real bandaid with a heart colored in purple on it. This is definitely a case where some could be offended....and less is usually more.
Where do you get the camo band-aids?
I just looked at the box, and it is the same company as the one in the article, which the website is now non-existent.
That stinks.
