Thanks for the ping...I was going to look up the thread and here it is.

This afternoon I saw Karen Hughes speak with Tom Brokaw. Brokaw claimed that Cheney has been "revamped" as everybody's grandfather when most think of him as a dark figure. Karen laughed in his face (nicely, of course) and said she has always thought Cheney projected the grandfatherly image. Of course he does and Brokaw is an idiot.

I have CSPAN on. They're showing street shots---Oh, now they're inside.

Oh, I see what you mean. Your phrase "public events" made me think of conventions and rallies.

I thought Karen Hughes being back would help. I agree McLellan is not as effective as Ari, by a long shot. Bush probably won't get rid of him though...he has been with the team for a long time.

I second that.

I'm so excited about tonight, and I'll try not to be too disapointed if it's not as 'absolutely fabulous' as last night. what struck me most was the joy on the faces, and the huge difference in the democrats at their convention.

I'll keep close tabs on C-Span all night, but like last night, I"ll hold my nose and report what I hear the goobers say on HARDBALL.

And someone please....PING me hard and fast if Susan Estrich is back on FOX tonight going up against Ann. I missed that last night but even the transcript is great!!

Happy convention Tuesday! These RDDB's don't seem to care how they are taxing first responders in the city. They could open the city up to terrorism or even prevent emergency services from reaching those in need.
