I'd say so...

I have to chime in here too. It was one of the best speeches I've seen in quite a while. Rudy rocked the house!

Rudy would get my vote in 08 FOR SURE!

The entire opening night of the convention was extremely powerful... every one of the speakers was excellent. Rudy's speech was amazing, as was McCain's. I think as political strategy, coming out explaining the war on terror at length and in detail, and those two men, especially, doing the explaining, put the final nail in the coffin of the Kerry campaign. Despite the extreme divisiveness of this election, Bush is going to end up 8-10 points up nationally if the rest of the convention is even half as good.
After watching the first night of the convention, I not only feel that it was worth my time, but I also feel greatly re-inspired.

I don't believe we're right about everything and Democrats are wrong about everything. Neither party has a monopoly on virtue. I'll go along with Republicans aren't right about everything but I challenge you to make the case for something Democrats aren't wrong about.

In choosing a president, we really don't choose a Republican or Democrat, a conservative or liberal. We choose a leader.
Insomuch as a leader is one who promotes the cause of good, I agree. I would otherwise object to the suggestion that conservative or liberal ideology, as the terms are currently understood, makes no difference as to what qualities makes a good leader.
Other than that, it was a very patriotic speech. Thank you, Mr. Guliani.

2008? Forget about it Guiliani. Take the senior speech writer job until the election--maybe keep it. Then sack the Senatorship. Or take a Cabinet post.

Best speech since Bush's to Congress in Sept. 2001.

"At this rate, with 64 days left, he still has time to change his position at least three or four more times." Bad reporting? Or pure bias?
Rudy clearly said "four or five"!
