Well said or any other name for that matter.
Actually, it's likely a hoax, though the sentiment is his. Jewish-History.com: "Letter to an Anti-Zionist Friend"
He did say in a speach at Harvard
When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews, You are talking anti-Semitism.
"Do you mind if I call Pat an anti-semetic? " Thats your call of course, but I sincerely believe the people most hurt by the casual use/abuse of that term are those really entitled to use it and wisely.
You are right about Pat's good work here and wrong about Bush's responses. He will go no further than what he has said already.
Now calling him America first...that's an abuse.
I have it on good authority Buchanan and his mindless followers are converting to Islam and its the JOOOOS and GWB's fault.
Only if you assume America is AGAINST everyone else which it is not.
"No true Christian can carry within his heart hatred for any of God's children... I am as aware as any other Christian that our Savior was Jewish, His mother was Jewish. The Apostles were Jewish. The first martyrs were Jewish... So no true Christian, in my judgment, can be an anti-Semite." - Pat Buchanan
I guess that would explain it when buchanan proudly proclaims that Islamic Extremists DO NOT represent a threat to our nation and why the United States should pull completely out of the middle east and allow the peace loving Muslims to slaughter the Israelis.
"Politically, mankind suffered no irreversible loss with the sweeping of the PLO from the international chess board. As virulently anti-American as it was anti-Israeli, the PLO has been a Soviet cat's-paw, the linchpin of international terror, the base camp for the worst elements on earth, a friend to every enemy of the United States from the Sandinistas in Nicaragua to Idi Amin in Uganda." - Pat Buchanan
Well, he has suggested Why not stand beside Islam, and against Hollywood and Hillary. I doubt the Protocols nor Mein Kampf will be as popular here as they are in the Arab world.
Why call him Taliban Pat?
I don't get it. He is more of an ideological conservative than Bush ever will be.
A populist? No way.
Interesting that you dont' supply a quote, just your own paraphrase, with no citation. I've read his stuff on immigration, and his book on demographics (can't remember the name) and he sounds very worried about the resurgance of Islam and the possibility it will take over Europe and ultimately even the US, by force of birthrate and lax immigration laws. He's never sounded pro-Islam in anything I've read by him --- quite the contrary, he has sounded a warning in many columns that I've seen.
Glad to see you Chamberlainstuff...I thought you would be too busy at the protest marches to post.
Oh, and by the way, buchanan made his claim that Islamic Extremists DO NOT pose a threat to our nation live on Michael Medved's show this afternoon. If you wish to learn more, he proudly proclaimed he has a whole chapter on it in his latest book.
Not surprised that you couldn't answer my post, by supplying a quote to back up your incendiary charges. Typical of posts, -- lots of blather, little substance. (And lots of infantile name-calling)
They refute Buchanan, exactly like Kerry and the MSM refute the SBVs; repetition of ad hominems.
You keep repeating and repeating and repeating that but Bush says Islam is a religion of peace. AQ is the threat to America.
If you want his exact words where he claimed Islamic Extremists ARE NOT a thread to this nation I'm sure the Medved show would be glad to sell you a transcript.
