A NEW YORK WELCOME FOR VICE PRESIDENT CHENEY

As a throng of enthusiastic supporters waved and cheered, Vice President Dick Cheney traced the route so many Americans took to get to New York and arrived at Ellis Island. Arriving on the island by sea aboard Liberty IV, the Vice President was greeted by Boy Scouts, Veterans, a marching band and a Scottish Pipe and Drum Corp.

After an introduction that included remarks by Rep. Vito Fosella, Rudy Giuliani, and Governor Pataki, the Vice President gave a rousing speech praising the City of New York and the spirit that brought people from around the world to America in search of hope.

The Vice President officially kicked off the week's festivities and began four days of celebrating our nation, our Party, and our President.

Thought you would enjoy seeing the pictures with the background of NYC from yesterday's arrival of the Vice President that we have heard so little about!

Thanks, Mom! It is going to be hard to filter positive coverage out of the focus on the demonstrators in the main stream media. You know, with all the talk about GWB's supposed "stupidity" you would think the MSM would be ashamed at how easily they are manipulated by the left!

Here are some thoughts on why the Democrats are doing the nasty attacks on all things Bush.

There is a new conventional wisdom this year. It does not seem to me that the Demorats have the new situation figured out.

You can tell the type of person you are by the type of people that support you.

What better group than boy scouts and vets!

I think it is because the media is part of the left -- they have not only blurred the line they have crossed it. When our media becomes the cheerleader for one side or the other, it is bad because they have lost their credibility and ability to split fact from spin!

Very good take! I also think putting Hillary at the Convention as the "truth squad" is a big mistake. There is not bigger fundraiser for Republicans than her. The media yesterday went gaga over the Clintons which IMHO goes along with what you are saying and it will energize the base even more.

It is like the RATs are deaf to the absolute disdain that people in flyover country have for the Clintons. Putting the Clintons and Kerry together will turn out the Republican base in huge numbers this November.

What I want are long coattails. At least the OK Senate seat looks secure with Dr. Tom Coburn. Carson, his liberal RAT opponent pretending to be moderate conservative, was campaigning on yesterday on a Sunday which is a huge mistake in OK IMHO, but then he is down 13 points in the latest poll.

Kind of silly being "misled" about the Iraq war by some "stupid" Texan, isn't it? Makes one wonder why, if Kerry is that easily fooled, he qualifies to be President.
