Israel informed U.S. that, in order to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, she plans to bomb Busheher Nuclear Power Plant, under construction in Iran, if Russian-supplied fuel rods are put into its reactor(s.) The fuel rods are now at a Russian port, which are to be shipped in the first half of next year. 24 years ago, Israel's squadron of (F-15's and) F-16's bombed Iraq's Osirak Reactor which was being constructed using French technology, stopping Iraq's nuclear weapon's program on its track. /end my translationIsrael To Bomb A Iran's Nuclear Power Plant

What will they do in retaliation? All the stuff they were gonna do anyway.
BUMP!
Just my 2 cents:
Iran's crisis should not be solved by bombs. Any shot firing at Iran will unite the Iranian behind their Mullahs to defend their land.
I saw that already.:^)
"...if Russian-supplied fuel rods are put into its reactor"
Big "IF". With the bombing of the planes, and previous recent terrorist acts, Putin may already be re-thinking that deal with Iran.
The very first thought that comes to my mind is "how are they going to transit the U.S. defense air space that has been established over Iraq"? This isn't the early 80's any more.
They may get it, but this time they will probably need our permission.
Anyway we can help?
Maybe they could just dismantle it and send to a needy country.. . . Afterall, Iran sits on a huge pool of oil and certainly doesn't have any energy need for this "plant".
They can't. That's why I think U.S. will prevent them, because it would have to be done with our permission, and we won't give it.
Do you think that's a problem? I'd bet we refuel them on the ground in Iraq someplace out of sight. You won't see that in the news though.
After watching us roll up Iraq as fast as we did following Afghanistan, the mullahs won't do anything with the amount of dissent they're facing at home. They're hoping the anti-war protestors will Vietnam any possibility of us doing anything. That along with posturing is the only thing they can muster.
After Bush is re-elected, the mullahs will see the writing on the wall unless they're totally out of touch with reality. Besides North Korea needs another example to "encourage" cooperation. Watching Iran's nuke facility go poof is the best thing to get the little guy's attention.
You aren't taking into account how an attack by Israel would be viewed by surrounding countries. (see #17)
The goal is peace in the Middle East. We don't want to destroy what we've been fighting for in Iraq.
They have to be asking themselves : When is it our turn ? Will we get nukes before the US attacks ?
BUMP
