I have been following this Muslim invasion soap, and find it horrifying (if not expected) that their attempt to deal with religious extremism (which discriminated against Christians and Jews as well) has brought about this outrage. I remember Muslim Wahhabi nations protesting this head scarf ban, while not seeming to pay attention to the fact that in many of their countries you cannot wear a cross. I know this article will bring about comments based on the French government's disagreement on Iraq policy, but for goodness sakes, 1/3rd of the French people voted for Le Pen. Most western nations do not have the cahones to vote for a true blue right wing conservative in such numbers. God bless those people who had the courage to vote for a conservative! My heart is with the French people and I pray that they overthrow this communist government for the future of their children and nation. God bless all of them and let the veil be lifted from all of their eyes, and ours as well.

They just voted them in a few years ago. Reality bites.

...the French government vowed on Sunday not to compromise its national ideals as it pleaded for their release. Well, pleading is a good start, but if they really want to stick to their ideals, they'll surrender.

Why is there such a big deal that France and Germany haven't been our allies in the Afghanistan/Iraq war? France hasn't been OUR ally since the Revolution (and only then because they hated the British so much). Germany is still an occupied enemy...afterall, they started the 2nd WW and we conquered them. France's last amiable "gift" to us was the Statue of Liberty in the 1870's. Since then, we've save their ass in 2 world wars. They've done nothing for us since. It's time to acknowledge that France and Germany are NOT our allies -- they've only been willing bed partners are long as we've provided to keep their houses...the mistresses of Europe. It's time to cut them loose.

You realize this French government is considered 'conservative' over there right??

If all the Muslims start wearing white scarves, they'll have a shortage of flags.

Communism is like heroin, the French will have to go through some heavy withdrawl pains before they kick the habit.

Really? There's a betting run on how soon the French will run up the White Flag.

The seventh century savages are playing for keeps while we are tragically PC-whipped. If things continue as they are, you will be given the sweet choice of a prayer rug or a coffin.

May I remind you that Germany and France both have contributed to the Afghanistan war and that both keep engaged there? May I remind you that Germany and France have been tough friends in the Cold War against the common enemy? May I remind you that there´s something that unites France, Germany and the United States (- liberty, human rights, open and democratic societies), and that every nation that matches these requirements is considered a valued partner of the US, as a member of the free nations?
By the way, try to explain just ONE German that his country still is occupied by the US. Is the US occupied, just because soldiers from various NATO countries serve on US soil??
