SEATTLE, WA U.S. Representative Jennifer Dunn issued the following statement regarding John Kerrys visit to Washington:
"John Kerry continued campaigning on his platform of pessimism and gloom yesterday ironically talking down the economy in a state that created one third of the nations jobs last month. After 11 straight months of job creation totaling more than 1.5 million, our nations economy is surging forward and the chilling policies of John Kerry will prevent further progress. Before he criticizes our rebounding economy he should explain how his multiple votes for tax increases on the middle class will keep our economy on the right path.
oops, please change source to "George W. Bush"
good message

I sure wish Jennifer Dunn were running for Senate or Governor.
I thought that Washington was in the "safe" column for
JF'nK? What in the world would compel him to campaign in Seattle & Tacoma? Must be some internal polling that worried him a tad!
You Go Girl! Now she's got some brass ones!
Senate, yes we need to get rid of Patty and Nethercutt won't cut it. I think Dino may make it as governor since Gregoir has lots of flaws. It will all be about turnout outside of Seattle. I use to live in Dunn's district, she was one of the best politicians in DC.
It will take a couple of breaks but if we get them Kerry will lose this state too.
You underestimate Nethercutt. He's running a very strong campaign, and Murray is under 50%. Dunn would be slightly better though, but I still think Nethercutt has a 45% chance of taking down Murray.
Rossi is an amazing politician, and can connect like nothing I've ever seen. Time will tell if that can overcome the Democratic machine and 20 years of Dem govs.
McKenna also has a very strong chance at AG.
Overall, considering how badly we have done in statewide races in the past 12-20 years, I'm much more hopeful we will be able to grab at least two of these.
It is NOT safe for Kerry. It leans Kerry, certainly, but it is NOT safe. We've been kicking Dem ass in voter registration, and the voters here are angry in general, so anything is possible.
It's a dem leaning state, but they have a poor candidate for Governor and for Senate. That isn't to say that they might not win one or both of these races, (I think they will lose at least one of them) but they certainly arn't helping Kerry.
Thanks for the info, I had no clue.
Nethercutt should do better than Linda Smith because the media won't be able to demonize him. Patty was running a commercial criticizing Nethercutt for moving to Bellvue and no longer representing his district. I wonder how she can support Kerry when he doesn't even bother to show up for votes, at least Nethercutt votes..
Good statement. Jennifer Dunn is my representative; it's too bad she's leaving.
Sounds good. Keep up that voter registration !
I keep hearing that your CD is a possible Dem pickup now that Dunn is retiring.
