TACOMA -- Wesley K. Clark yesterday hammered President Bush as ''incompetent" and ''indecisive," as he kicked off a raucous outdoor rally for John F. Kerry before the Democratic presidential nominee ceded the political spotlight for the Republican National Convention this week.
.....''Where was George Bush when young men from Arkansas and Texas and Massachusetts were called to serve their country and went to Vietnam?" Clark shouted as Kerry stood next to him before thousands gathered in a parking lot outside the Tacoma Dome. ''Where was George Bush? He wasn't there. I think it's outrageous that the president of the United States can question the medals and the service and the valor of American veterans who have served."
....While Kerry refused to speak to reporters last week, ostensibly because his staff did not want him to perpetuate the story, he has raised the issue every day in one form or another as polls indicate voters beginning to blame Bush for the attacks.
Yesterday's speech by Clark, who departed the stage and left the rally immediately after his remarks, guaranteed more coverage as the Republicans convened for their quadrennial convention in New York and Kerry left for a working vacation on Nantucket.
Kerry was then introduced by Jim Rassmann, the former Army Green Beret he rescued during one of the battles now questioned by the anti-Kerry veterans.
Afterward, Kerry spokesman David Wade said of Clark: ''Obviously, he's very angry about these attacks. He does not speak for us, though.".....

I find it ironic that John Fitzger...er,Forbes Kerry, past OinC of PT-10...er,PCF 44 and PCF 94,wrote his book Profiles In Coura...er,Tour Of Duty to promote himself for President. John O'Neill could not have gotten better help. Tour Of Duty brought the Swiftvets forward. In addition oo the regular vets, the Kerry critters are currently pis...g-off a whole generation of Guards and Reserves, who don't appreciate their service being slandered. Keep up the good work boys!!
The big news is the communists have to jettison Wesley "Perot" Clark into the campaign to defend Kerry's military record. Brilliant idea to highlight his military service at your convention, Mr. Shrum.
Let Zell Miller ravage Komrade Kerry and the DNC.
That will be enough ravaging at the convention for our side.
A question for Wesley...were you on the boat with John? No? Well then the rule the Dem's insist upon applies..you are not allowed to talk!

"Ticket puncher: A career military officer or businessperson whose primary concern is personal advancement."
Wesley Clark is a political whore. He should seek medical care for that gonococcal sore throat he has.
Nice work on the analysis, and on the email to Brinkley. Brinkley should never have gotten mixed up in writing the hagiography of Kerry.
"It's true Kerry has brought on this fight," Brinkley said. "But I was looking for a story about Vietnam, and I think I struck the right story. What's made me angry is false accusations made against Kerry's military record, which, because I know the record, I feel I must respond to even if I risk appearing like Kerry's surrogate in the process."
Oh yeah, he had to write about Kerry, because there weren't many Vietnam veterans with interesting stories out there. (/sarcasm) And yeah, he's just defending Kerry for pure reasons.
I think Kerry may be a worse liar than Clinton, if that's possible!
Nah ... He just did it with that impish smile on his face while staring the females in the chest.
Kerry is butt ugly and I haven't seem him express much in the way of smiling abilities. ;)
