What about the "invisible fence?"
Is it feasible? Maybe each border state could be responsible for the implementation?
If they can build interstate highways even through mountains, seems like this would be possible.
I'd like to get some ideas on this.
Actually as I've already implied, it seems that the American electorate likes the current level of BIG government -- that's not lower and that's not higher.
What I ought to do and what we all ought to do is quit preaching to the small government choir and instead go out and change the minds of the -- BIG government electorate.
See post #425 for "invisible fence" info.
Then please add to the discussion. Thanks.
Thankyou! I spent a year wanting to do one, thinking about it, looking for things, learning html and getting a lot of help from devolve. I'm pleased with it myself.
Perhaps a better name would be the Mexibuttlickin Party? ;^)
"Yep. Fortunately, they are readily identifiable. They are usually seen holding "John Kerry for President" signs or similarly silly things"
The rest of them (liberal doper wack offs) work for Hollywood porn kings aka producers of mainstream entertainment.
I think you nailed it!
.....and other fancy stuff.....
As I said "horrendous threat." I am not arguing they aren't a threat, but given their serious lack of logistical support and their need to compartment it is extremely difficult to pull off one big massive attack. If you read about the planning for the 9/11 attacks those men spent three years planning it and there were signals everywhere of what was going on. The problem was we weren't looking for them. Had we been, we would definitely have stopped them as soon as we discovered Arabs wanting to learn to fly an airplane without landing or taking off. I don't fear huge numbers of terrorists, I fear the one or two with a nuclear weapon or some unique plan to wreak devestation that we have not thought of or gotten wind of. Why do you need hundreds of men when 15 can bring down the World Trade Center? As for illegal aliens, they can just as easily slip in on international flights using fake documents.
"I'm hoping Bush will do something when he no longer has to worry about the vote."
I'd suggest reading some of the things Bush says when he meets with Fox, speaks before LULAC, etc. etc. It's clear that the so-called "Hispanic vote" is just a smokescreen. He's high on the Open Border Kool-Aid.
If he wins, it's only going to get worse, probably much worse.
The time to force him to do the right thing is now, when he's worried about people voting for him. If he doesn't do the right thing, write in Tancredo.
Well, you figured wrong as usual. Goes with the lavender liberal modernist territory. Now buzz off and stop stalking and posting to me.
I have already indundated the White House with demands. I have also written numerous letters to my representatives. So far I have received about 50 letters back including one from Bush saying that he will continue to push 245(i) through congress. That letter was dated September 2002.
Everyone of our representatives in Washington (including President Bush) know that almost 80% of Americans want tighter border controls, less immigration, and no amnesty. These numbers include democrats as well as republicans. This is not just a republican issue. But our representatives do nothing.
Take a look at New York today. It looks like a war zone with all of the armed guards there. Why are they there? To protect the convention from terrorist. And who are the terrorist? All or most of them are people that are here on passport or visa violations. Some are here illegally because they just walked across the border.
So, this administration will protect itself from these people but what are they doing to protect us? Absolutely nothing!! They could care less about our families being victimized by these people. If they cared they would have done something about our borders in the opening days or months of the presidency. But they didn't, and they won't. As long as they are safe they could care less about you and me.
Bush needs to get it through his thick head that he is sworn to uphold the laws and the Constitution of the United States. Why isn't he doing it?
