Some of us have known this since the moment it happened, but this is for the "wake-turbulence" excuse crowd.

Yep. Just as almost everyone here expected.

If this is the case then the Feds covered it up. They would surely have found traces of explosive.
This is Bush's government and he is responsible in the end.
Scandal coming?

I think Bush did cover it up. And I can almost understand why. The airline industry was in bad enough shape in Nov. 2001 without this.
I just wish they would come clean now.

Wake turbulence.
"Move along folks nothing to see here just WT from a JAL 747-400."
"But 747's depart Kennedy all of the time, why did it cause this accident?"
"Quiet, you! I mispoke, it was an arcing fuel pump in an empty centerline fuel tank!"
"But that was attributed to ANOTHER 747 departing Kennedy!"
"I mispoke again! It crashed into a cliffside in bad weather!"
"But, that was government 737 that crashed with 5 miles visibility carrying the commerce department head who gave a known Chinese agent a Top Secret security clearance."
"Quiet, you..."

The only people who'll make it a scandal are people who put their party above the country's security.
Do you know how bad it would have gotten here if this had been announced as a terrorist attack so soon after 9-11?
There would have been lynchings in the streets.

this is not much of a surprise. it's another sad example of the government feeling the need to lie. we are being treated like infants,.... what are they afraid we'll do? we've been well behaved the past 3 years, we've listened to our gov't and not made trouble. we're good children.
we've been told by our prez that islam is the religion of peace....why would we be angry?
To: Burr5
It all makes a lot of sense, but I can't for the life of me see how anything this big could be covered up. More than a few people would have to know, and that's all it takes for it to be revealed.

C'mon, we're you surprised? Did you not know from the start it was a terrorist attack?
The people they were treating like infants are people who need to be treated like infants. The ones who would go around shooting Muslims and causing havoc.

No, I think this is more of hearing something you want to hear you instantly believe it.
I remain skeptical. Sending incorrect Information is part of a war. It has alreay allowed many to doubt the C&C more just by this thread.
Prove to me he was on that plane, an I will believe there is something to it. Otherwise, it's just pure speculation.

Come on people flight recorders should pick up the audibles of an explosion. I can't see these downings being covered up, to many people involved.

(to the forum)
Anyone ever stop to think that "Canadian Intelligence investigators" is
maybe a more worthy of being an oxymoron than the "military intelligence"
that always gets a rise out of American lefties?
And I say that with kind feelings for my Canadian relatives and my kindly
Canadian acquaintances.
When it comes to military/intelligence exercises of the first rank, Canada has
(sadly) not had much to brag about since the Avro Arrow.
And the h-llatiously good sniper skills of the "Patricias" in
Afghanistan.
And even that got those good soldiers into trouble with the peaceniks of Ottawa/Quebec.

Friendly comment...I've heard different opinions from the "experts" on TV...
some say that with a bombing onboard a plane there is a blast sound on the recorder...
and others say the recorder simply goes dead with the detonation of an on-board bomb.
I don't know if which of these view are right...or if both are right OR wrong depending
on the situation.
Myself, I keep an open mind.
And also try to "follow the money".
Regardless of whether Flt. 587 went down due to a flaw in Airbus's assembly technology
or a terrorist bomb...the US guvmint and the aviation industry has plenty of interest
in a cover-up...to keep the seats full and paid for.
I'm not saying this is the case...just that there are the financial incentives
to keep the populace calm and paying for airfares.
