I'm going to link a couple comments on another thread to here to illustrate where this is going to be taken, I think, inevitably now...

Look, guys: this isn't any longer just "Christmas in Cambodia" - this thread is not the first I've seen with this kind of expression - and I know these are serious FReepers - but I have even seen it on other forums than FR on the rare occasions I've gone to them. This is a truly serious opportunity for the 'Nam Vets to "get a bit of their own back" and more and more of them are going to realize it as they come to realize that sKERRY was the scumbag who did that Congressional testimony. Many still are just learning that. I think this is very likely to end up being a battle between the "hippies and proud of it" and the vets and the rest who aren't proud they were duped. Period.

The worms are out of the can, Pandora's box is open, and I can not see how this rumble is going to be squelched by the media or the Demodogs. I really think sKerry's best chance, though, is to open up the records, take his licks as early as possible, and try to get on to other issues, but I don't think that is likely to work - it is far too late.

This rumble is not limited to Kerry and Kerry detractors, but it is the focus. There has been a persistent effort to subvert the ideals of this country, and the media is eye-ball deep as one of the primary agents of change. Education is another. I hope the media goes down for the count, with or without Kerry.

Kerry doesn't have a chance this year. If he keeps stonewalling and whining, he goes down. If he comes clean and admits he's a liar, and void of good character, he goes down. For the good of the country, it would be better if he came clean, but he wont. That would create too much damage to the party, and to the progress of subverting the Republic.

The best outcome for the Democrats is for Kerry to hang in there, and lose. Opening up Vietnam, and all the lies wrapped up in that, causes longer-lasting damage.

I was able to get some good licks in on part of the traitorous scum that were fellow travelers of Kerry and the Clintons in the early 70s.

Don't mind another go at the lowlifes one bit.

Read your links.

Question: Do you think W, or else
someone close to him, ever lurks
here?

I hope so. He needs to know what's
going down.

Excellent collection of folks expression of Kerry's lies regarding VietNam testimony, etc.

I read all of them. Thank you for those post, folks (oldngray; Miss Marple; DollyCali; Peach; Guenevere)! I think a LOT of folks feel that way right about now.

And thanks for collecting those and bringing them to my attention, AFPhys! (post #623).

I think it could be deeper than that. This could well come down to leftists, "hard leftists and proud of it" and the vets and the rest who aren't proud they were duped (as you say). What resonates with many of us who came of age after Viet Nam are the parallels between the current war and its protesters and Kerry's lying before the Senate and meeting with Communists. Lying about medals is a Clinton like manipulation but providing aid and comfort to the enemy, lying before the people of this country at the expense of our military and turning our ideals and values (however wrongheaded the situation) to make us the enemy of freedom is unforgivable. And it most certainly is not a 30+ year old irrelevancy for a country at war.

The media has reluctantly covered Kerry's service exaggerations but the meat of this matter, for many of us, is what came after. They of course don't want to go there. They are largely made up of those whose world-view was shaped by Viet Nam. These are the same people who yelled quagmire one hour after we attacked the Taliban, these are the same people who find more truth in an atrocity or failure in Iraq than a success.

John Kerry has had almost his entire adult life to come to grips with his anti-war activities. His record shows us that he never did, he did not come to value our military strength, he did not come to denounce anti-American forces, he did not come to apologize for the harm he inflicted.

Thanks for collecting these posts and replies.

I'm pinging some of the good indexers on FR.

Friday night I told some friends that this is like pressure cooker that has been simmering for 3 decades re Kerry's serial lying and acts of treason.

The pressure cooker is too hot now for Kerry and the DNC to cool off, and we now have control of the heat of the stove. Each article like this turns the heat up a little more on that pressure cooker filled with the truth about the serial liar for 3 decades.

Personally, I think that the Swift Vets have even more damaging material to release. This article shows that more people are getting involved.

There is no way for the MSM arm of the DNC to control this anymore.
