The question is: are we going to far with this attack on Kerry? Can this backfire? Does Bob Dornan seem like a sane man or a crazy man?

"Kadell bascially said that Kerry/Democrats made a mistake making Kerry's Vietnam service the cornerstone of his campaign instead of talking about the issues."

The issue is whether or not Kerry is fit to command in a time of war. In nam he found a way to abandon ship in the heat of the battle. (three purple hearts and you're out!) Course, Bush found a way to not even board the ship. Based on this criteria, neither are fit. But they are the only two choices we have.

Sure Bush took out the Taliban and Saddam. But for some reason he hesitates now. He's got a muslim terrorist and his gang of misfits holed up in a mosque that is basically controlling things in Iraq...this murdering religious nutcase is responsible for untold deaths of american soldiers. We all know his name. We all know his location. And with all the firepower we have, Bush decides to negotiate with him. What? This terrorist aka cleric is wanted for murder and Bush is playing footsies with him? Beam me up Scottie.

If we are going to win a war against terrorism, we're going to need a President unwilling to negotiate with terrorists who happen to be holed up in a mosque.

Nope, neither are fit based on what we now know.

I saw that and thought it was GREAT. Dornan is such a character. He always throws hosts off and they don't know how to handle him. In his zeal, he interrupts just like the Dems do, and it's hysterical as hell. I'm sure to some he comes across as crazy but who cares?

I've thought about the overload of Vietnam issue, and I've decided that it doesn't matter.

There are many families that have raw wounds still from Vietnam that are barely scabbed over, and the democrats run this anti-war showboat for president who wants to pretend that he was a hero in that war.

He spent his time demeaning those soldiers, their good cause of preventing a communist overthrow of Southeast Asia, and their efforts to retrieve their Pow's and find some solace for their grief. He rubbed raw pain into their wounds then, and now he wants to pretend he was some kind of war hero? Not on my watch.

It isn't an issue of whether or not soccer moms and Billy O'Reilly are "tired" of the discussion.

BTW, what was Wild Bill doing from 1965 to 1972-- the hot years of Vietnam?

No sir, we are not.

A long time ago I found out in business -- as well as in the Military Service -- that there is NO substitute for victory! None !

If you want to have a really sleepless night, try to imagine our country under the stewardship of Kerry for the next four years.

If that doows not make your eyes glaze over, I am in the wrong forum. Thank you, sir...and my kindest regards. DKP

We go too far and they go too far. I've been walked into the cornfield surrounded by republicans with ball bats for daring to defend myself on outsourcing. Both parties have their mobster thugs that go after people's lives to destroy them to cover for their personal interests when their interests are counter to those of America. I can count the number of people that defended me here on both hands. And most of them would only offer a kind word in private for fear they'd be savaged themselves. What do you suggest? I'd like to see the Gangster thugs surgically removed from our party. There is no place for this kind of garbage in politics. But in their mind, politics is being John Gotti.

Do you propose we whack out the Goombahs? Because if that is your point. You got your first recruit to the war right here. Cause I've had my fill of them.

By the way, the following edit makes your post a little closer to what actually transpired:

Bob Dornan (R) and Pat Cadell (D) were just on Fox's Hannity & Colmes debating Kerry's predicament. Bob Dornan went on a savage attack courageously and aggressively confronted Cadell & Colmes, showing a burned and urinated on American flag and 300 VC/Communist flags that were burned flown by Kerry's anti-war group in 1971. Dornan also wanted Fox to have anti-Kerry widows from the Vietnam war. Cadell was actually rational shame-faced and his analysis of Kerry and the Democrats' errors in calculation I thought were excellent and on point. Cadell basically said that Kerry/Democrats made a mistake making Kerry's Vietnam service the cornerstone of his campaign instead of talking about the issues.

Kerry/Democrats made a mistake making Kerry's Vietnam service the cornerstone of his campaign instead of talking about the issues.

Kerry knew he screwed up so badly in 1971 that he tried to head the GOP off at the pass in 2004 by claiming he was this big war hero in hopes of deflecting criticism he knew was sure to come.

Secondly, I strongly believe that Kerry, just like the criminal who feels drawn to the scene of the crime, was psychologically compelled to return to the scene of HIS crime --- the one he committed against Vietnam Veterans when he called them all "war criminals".

I am dead serious. Check with psychiatrists. Many criminals are so consumed with guilt that they cannot stay away from the scene of their original crime.

That's why detectives often stake out the original crime scene. They know there is a good chance the suspect will return to look around to "see" what people are doing.

Does Bob Dornan seem like a sane man ......

He goes over the top but he has been wanting this fight since Kerry betrayed the country with his treasonous actions.

"Extremeism in defense of Liberty is no Vice" Barry Goldwater.

"Do not take counsel of your Fears" General George Patton

A PC attitude will get you killed.

Freepers, help us all out if you can.
Please explain who B1 Bob Dornan is, his record and accomplishments and why he is someone to be taken very seriously.
Explain to those who didn't live through the 60's or the Vietnam War exactly who John Kerry hooked up with when he came home ( VVAW) , their flat out Communist connections, his secret trips to meet with Communist leaders in Paris.
I think it would be helpful to put this all in context.

Has everyone heard Hannity saying he has a tape of Kerry committing a war crime?

He is examining it this weekend for accuracy.
