Hannity & Colmes: Bob Dornan shows US flag that Kerry's group burned while they flew 300 VC flags
self | Aug 27, 2004

Posted on 08/27/2004 6:22:46 PM PDT by Cableguy

Bob Dornan (R) and Pat Kadell (D) were just on Fox's Hannity & Colmes debating Kerry's predicament. Bob Dornan went on a savage attack, showing burned US flag and VC/Communist flags that were burned by Kerry's anti-war group in 1971. Dornan also wanted Fox to have anti-Kerry widows from the Vietnam war. Kadell was actually rational and his analysis I thought were excellent and on point. Kadell bascially said that Kerry/Democrats made a mistake making Kerry's Vietnam service the cornerstone of his campaign instead of talking about the issues.

Hate his party, but I have never considered him a spin meister. He is sometimes the lone voice of reason on the other side.

"I did say a "little" Howard Deanish."

Sorry, but when I hear Howard Dean's name, I think of an embellisher, a liar, and a scumbag.

Anyone know the story behind Pat Cadell leaving Hardball for FNC? I've often wondered what brought that about.

Dornan held up a picture of Kerry at the museum in Vietnam with Vietnamese surrounding him. It really wasn't that clear on TV. I do not know the history of the picture.

I have been hoping that someone would produce the picture of the "wall" in that museum that is supposedly dedicated to Kerry's support of the North Vietnamese. Does anyone know if it's ever been published on the any web page?"

Do you have this picture???? Thanks in advance...

If the SBV's want to retain their credibility to any degree, Bob Dornan is not the authoratative voice they want pleading their case.

Thank you and would appreciate it. I may have seen it here as my brain is on overload with this Kerry crap but I sure don't recall it.

If the picture is available, it should be all over Fox News shows daily! Hold it up - keep showing it! I'm sure we could get Bob Dornan to do the honors.

WE don't have any control over this...... This is between the Vietnam vets and Kerry. This fight has been a long time coming.

. There are unhealed wounds.... the reason they remain unhealed is because the vets were forced to stuff all this inside and not talk about it.

Time to let all the poison out.

I apologise for editing your post. It was a strong statement. I wanted to clarify it for all to hear. FP

"They were flying the Viet Commie flags while burning Old Glory."

I'd LOVE to see a photo of that.

Yup. It was Hanoi Jane, Hanoi John, and Walter Cronkite. We had the war won had it not been for these traitors and their drug-infested hippy followers.

Maybe he didn't like having to take showers with his clothes on.

What was it that Barry Goldwater said? Oh yeah, "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue".

He said they were at the Washington Monument. I thought his portrayal of the scenes were excellent even tho' he had trouble making himself heard. Thought Alan had dropped off the show as he became silent all of a sudden. I guess it was because Pat wasn't following his lines!

Dornan doesn't have to answer to anyone and will always say what he means and feels. Nothing wrong with that.

You mean to say that nothing he said sounded credible? If so, I disagree with you.

No, he looked like a typical liberal, acting emotional and not reasonable or logical.

Most people are not nearly informed as we are when it comes to politics and the players involved. You ask 10 people on the street who Bob Dornan is and 9 will say "a game show host", it is probably the first time many people have seen him.

That's my only point.

Yep. When asked by Colmes about the validity of the veterans themselves in regards to their criticism of Kerry, he completely ignored it and went on his shpiel about the 'issues'.

I never get to reply to a post of Jim's so I won't pass this up.

Jim, you are 100% correct on the assessment of Bob Dornan. He will not apologize nor does he need to for his love of this country AND the military.

dwilli - you and others on this thead who are trashing B-1 Bob either don't know his history or are Neocon idiots. My mother, about 40 years ago, chewed my ar$e for deprecating one of her high school classmates, who survived Bataan. It was obvious that she had great respect for his sacrifices, and instilled that respect in me. Do any of you have Mr. Dornan's credentials?
