FoxNews had about a 2 or 3:1 lead in viewers last night. CNN continues the slide.

>>MSNBC LINEUP MOVES AHEAD OF CNN:

The headline really should say...

CNN TANKS FASTER THAN MSNBC

CNN is horrible....

Aaron Brown is downright depressing
Zahn belongs on the local news desk
Larry King is for old people

Plus, the content of their shows doesn't promote any real controversy either.

I'm proud to say that my family contributes to these numbers. (We're a Nielsen family.)

Hannity and Colmes, Scarborough and Miller are at the top of the list for me, though I get tire of all of them at times.

IMO Brit Hume has the only newscast worth watching.

With ratings of .5 and .6 both cnn and pmsnbc are in the cable ratings toilet. That should tell us that the conservative viewpoint (what there is of it) is what makes Fox News #1.

This is probably a temporary fluke due to the Olympics. NBC is sending a lot of traffic to MSNBC because of the Olympics.

It actually pains me to see the headline "MSNBC Moves Ahead of CNN"

MSNBC is the Michael Moore of Cable News Stations. CNN is tame compared to MSNBC these days.

Upon looking at the numbers, it's not that MSNBC has pulled ahead it's that CNN is dramatically losing their audience. Last week Hardball had a rating of .8 now it's at .6

I remember Britt Hume being asked about if he was concerned about Al Gore starting up a new liberal network. Hume laughed and said they just don't get it. It's not competition for Fox it's competition for all the other networks.

If People watch CNN in Canada, does it impact the ratings in the US?

FOX is not allowed up here!!

I think that MBSNBC might be getting a bump due to their Swift Vet coverage. Even though Crissy Mathews tries his best to represent the DNC, guests like Pat Buchanon are clearly getting the better of the Kerry puppets.

Also, CNN has completly ignored the story and H&C switches to the Scott Peterson trial halfway during the show.

This translates to:

FOX covers SwiftVets fair & balanced (#1)
MSNBC covers SwiftVets quite a bit but largely representative of Media Wing in Kerry campaign (#2)
CNN covers SwiftVets barely mostly focused on representing the Michael Moore-on Wing of the Kerry Campaign (#3)
CNBC doesn't cover SwiftVets at all & Jim Cramer attacks the president (#4)

I've enjoyed Dennis Miller's show everytime I've seen it. It's too bad his numbers are so low.
