The real race has commenced.

His mediocre record in the Senate, where no major legislation bears his name despite a twenty year career, left him a blank slate as far as the national electorate was concerned.
Other than twice marrying rich women, just what HAS he done right?

Good post.
However, with regards to the box. Are you sure he built it or is it the "black box" Gore spoke about so much in the 2000 election?

Yes it is! And the Kerry mob will be trying to do everything they can to keep the attention off of Kerry's documented Senate record. I expect some "event" during the RNC, to put focus on Kerry, and off the RNC. But I do not see how that could be good for Kerry. Kerry is damaged goods, to say the least.
And he just keeps making it worse. I still say the Clintoni family is just salivating over this bafoon's self-destruction....it would also not suprise me to see another "Kerry skeleton" randomly fall out of the closet over the next 60 days....remember Billary does not want Kerry to win -- no way.

Steve Gardner, Foregunner, PCF44:

"I spent more time on John Kerry's boat than any other crewmember.
John Kerry hasn't been honest - he has been deceitful.
John Kerry claims that he spent Christmas, in 1968, in Cambodia.
And that is catagorically a lie. Not in December. Not in January.
We were never in Cambodia on a secret mission. Ever."
Ramsey Clark to Join Panel for Saddams Defense
arabnews press release 25 August 2004
NOTE :
Ramsey Clark is pictured below with Kerry and
Vietnam phony vet Al Hubbard
Who was head of the
Vietnam Veterans Against the War movement.
Al Hubbard Sgt., 22 Troop Carrier Squadron Aug. 65-June 66
- Al Hubbard, proven fraud who never set foot in Viet Nam.
The only Vietnamese he ever met was
when he was collaborating with the North Vietnamese in Paris
on the American Communist Party's nickel.
John Kerry's explanation:
"He (Hubbard) simply exaggarated his particular position.
But nobody knew it at the time. And those things happen."

Without question,
we were held captive longer
because of the anti-war people,
the Kerrys, the Fondas and Haydens,
the names we knew over there -
they encouraged the enemy to hang on.

Jane Fonda tells the student audience at the Michigan State University in 1969;
"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope,
you would pray on your knees, that we would someday become communist."

All that an uncommitted voter can conclude from the Swifty controversy is that if al Quada attacks America during a Kerry presidency, his only response will be: "France, please make them stop!!! Waaaaa!"
To: TennTuxedo
The public will swing over to Kerry's side once he is properly introduced to them in the debates. (JFngK V3.7)
Don't snicker. MSM will say this.
To: TennTuxedo
The Dims and the MSM will stick with Kerry until the first debate and will dump him if he doesn't whip W (which he won't). That presents an interesting strategery for Bush; if he finishes Kerry off too soon, he may be facing a replacement opponent. Danger.

His mediocre record in the Senate, where no major legislation bears his name despite a twenty year career, left him a blank slate as far as the national electorate was concerned. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The fact that Kerry hasn't authored any major legislation in his entire 20 years as a senator says one thing loudly. It says: I am not a leader; I am a follower.

There will be no replacement opponent - the clintons still control the DNC.
If kerry loses, they win.
I'd actually watch for the DNC to redirect money from the presidential race to the congressional races in the last few weeks.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The fact that Kerry hasn't authored any major legislation in his entire 20 years as a senator says one thing loudly. It says: I am not a leader; I am a follower. Exactly. And this is something that even non-conservative voters can grasp. It has nothing to do with his ideology; it has to do with his character and abilities.
Do we really want a "follower" to face the terrorists?

I thought we had all agreed to remove the tin foil... The Dims cannot nominate someone new. Even if they could justify it in the rules, it would show unbelievable weakness. Even the most unsophisticated voters would clearly see it. No, they are stuck with Kerry. I have no doubt that 90% of them are screaming privately that they nominated the wrong guy (did you hear Peter Beinart on Hugh Hewitt yesterday? My gosh, they have gotten shrill!).They are stuck, they know they are stuck and they are FURIOUS!

There may be time enough for him to rescue his image. But it would take bold action, including a no-holds-barred press conference, exhaustively confronting the charges against him. Or he can eat a corn dog with ketchup while standing on the Frozen Tundra of Lambert Field.
