As some newspapers don't know quite yet where to go with the SwiftVet stories, and others are blantantly shilling for John Kerry, perhaps it is time to get this matter settled. By a duel. Not of guns or swords. Of lie detectors.
That's right, lie detectors. Steve Gardner, you have throw down the gauntlet. You have accused John Kerry of lying. He has his surrogates attacking you. It is time for you to make the challenge to meet him on a live television event and each man submit to a lie detector test.
Perhaps the head of the FBI will determine the expert to ask questions and monitor the polygraph.
What do you say, John Kerry. Will you sit on for a little while to prove the truth? Or, will you run down river until it is safe?
Where are you, John? I didn't think so. Maybe we can send an amputee to be on the tarmac next to your GulfStream and present you a written invitation.
I'd love to see it televised, with all the schtick of a reality tv show.
bump TO SUPPORT THE NEW SWIFT VETS AD AND GEORGE BUSH... http://swift2.he.net/~swift2/gardner2.mpg
There is one problem lie detectors only work on people who actually have a concience.
A cold heartless dirtbag like Kerry could probably sail right through a lie detector test.
Bullsquat!
Challenge Kerry to a duel with .45's..
A dueling society is a polite and truthful society....
Just imagine how the threat of a duel would silence the loud, lying, obnoxious, traitorous, bitching left....
Semper Fi
Doug, I don't like the Inland Empire much, but I hope to run across your Bush Mobile sometime on the 210 or 10 someday.
Funny stuff
Lie detectors don't work on the pathological liar.
I don't think Kerry is a pathological liar, the way Bill Clinton is.
I think he is a calculating one. THe thing about Kerry that I've noticed is that when things go wrong for him, you can see him sweat. I can see by looking at him that he is sweating now. He knows he is lying.
The reason I don't think Kerry is pathological is that he will break when he is finally faced with inescapable proof of his lies. You can see it in his manner.
Clinton, by contrast, would just sail right through that point -- honestly believing himself to be a victim of injustice. He really believes his own lies.
I'm with you.
But I would pay money to see John Heinz Kerry vs Bill Rodham Clinton...in a lie detector face off.
what about the "flying dog" story?
what about Christmas in Cambodia '68.. now the seared memory is shifted
What about the "CIA magic hat"?
Kerry is not in clinton's class as a liar
Kerry is a very poor liar, that's why we keep tripping him up.
Clinton was a poor liar also, "I smoked pot, but i didnt inhale" yea right....
No, that is a "good" lie, because no one can disprove it, even though everyone knows it isn't true - but when you chronicle, and then publish, that you haven't been fired on after you've claimed a medal on the basis of enemy engagement - that's pretty dumb.
He had plenty of classic ( I know your lying....thru your teeth ) moments.
To wit:
"I will slash boondoggle projects". - Bill Clinton, Putting People First.
"I will not raise taxes on the middle class" - B. Clinton June 21st 1992.
I'm not going to raise taxes on the middle class". - B. Clinton July 13th 1992.
I had hoped to invest in your future without asking more of you. And I've worked harder than I've ever worked in my life to meet that goal. But I can't." - B. Clinton Feb. 15th 1993 ( Less than a month after taking office..)
Oh....doesn't that bring back memories.
Yeah....when his lips were moving is key....
