"OTTAWA (Reuters) - It was damned bastards last year, "idiots" this year.
Canadian Member of Parliament Carolyn Parrish had said she hated "damned Americans" and called them bastards in the run-up to the Iraq war. She found a new moniker, idiots, on Wednesday in discussing the planned U.S. missile defense system.
"We are not joining the coalition of the idiots. We are joining the coalition of the wise," the Liberal legislator told a small group of demonstrators."
"The world respects Canada. If we were to join this then it will be giving credibility to what they're doing," she said.
Parrish then begged reporters not to use the remarks: "Please guys don't put that on tape," she said. "I already got into trouble once.... Really, please, I've had enough trouble."

That's fine. When the NK's fire their missile at Vancouver rather than San Francisco, we'll still be glad to knock it down for our Canadian friends.
To: thoolou
Yes, we're idiots for wanting a missile shield.
She'd rather be bombed and have others "like us."

Another typical liberal....no problem with dishing it out, but lots of problems with the repercussions created thereof. :-)

Is it time to invade Canaduh yet. How about we invade (or more to the point, liberate) only the plains provinces, and leave the rest to fall apart on its own?

This person is a POLITICIAN? Something tells me that a proud member of the "wise" coalition would know when to keep their mouths shut to keep them out of "trouble". A person of such a coalition would also be wise enough to know that the press will put something in ink ESPECIALLY when you tell them not too.

"The world respects Canada."
...because it lives in the shadow of America.
Note to Parrish: you have to say "off the record" or "on background" FIRST...THEN make a fool of yourself.
To: thoolou
"The world respects Canada." BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Jeez, what universe does this moron live in?

I have lived for protracted periods of time in seven foreign countries in my adult life, including Canada, and have traveled in dozens more.
I'm here to bear witness to your observation.
Canada IS considered a joke all over the world, and the laughter is getting louder, especially when nitwits like Parrish are allowed near microphones.
