Former Georgia Senator Max Cleland, left, and former Green Beret Lt. Jim Rassmann, center, approach a Secret Service Agent, right, on station at the check point to the entrance of President Bush (news - web sites)'s ranch Wednesday Aug. 25, 2004 in Crawford, Texas. Cleland tried to deliver a letter protesting ads challenging John Kerry (news - web sites)'s Vietnam service to President Bush at his Texas ranch Wednesday, but the Secret Service stopped Cleland short of his goal. I don't give a hoot about making Congress look foolish. Congress passes many unconstitutional laws. I expect a Republican president to veto those bills when they get to his desk. I was shocked & appalled when Bush signed McCain-Feingold, but even more horrified when the Supremes upheld it.
On April 8, 1968, I volunteered for one last mission. The helicopter moved in low. The troops jumped out with M16 rifles in hand as we crouched low to the ground to avoid the helicopter blades. Then I saw the grenade. It was where the chopper had lifted off. It must be mine, I thought. Grenades had fallen off my web gear before. Shifting the M16 to my left hand and holding it behind me, I bent down to pick up the grenade. A blinding explosion threw me backwards.
Of course this "in his own words" account (from a 1998 book) is completely at odds with the facts. Dare I say, Birds of a Feather Flock Together?
So do I. Just trying to make lemonade from lemons.
President George W. Bush, America's premier poker player.
Now you've made me thirsty!!!
And you're right, the other sleeve is down.
Why doesn't he just sign up for a sideshow? This is disgraceful.
It was always just a photo op. Cleland is a political appointee and as such he can be fired for any reason.
Hilarious, dude. Half a bottle of Diet Peach Snapple hit the screen on that one. Thanks for giving this circus act the treatment it deserves.
A big sign should have been displayed which reads:
AUDITIONS FOR THE MOVIE "GONE WITH THE BIG BAG OF WIND" are being held down over the steep hill on the LEFT. Just keep rolling till ya get there AND GOOD LUCK!
This is what you do. Type < img src="
After typing < img src=", you need to paste in the location of the image. I know you know how to find the location of the image.
After that, type "> And you get:

My pleasure:-)
Cleland hitched a ride on a chopper to make a beer run. He had grenades quick-rigged on his flak jacket (quicker access for arming), and when he exited the chopper , a grenade dislodged from its makeshift connection on his jacket. Cleland reached down to pick it up, not knowing that the pin had been pulled, and it blew his lower arm (and both legs) off.
LLS
is that tie a clip on?
"This is what you do."
Thanks - might take a day or so but I'll figure it out.
What W was doing when cry babies arrived :)

Too funny!
Cleland Vietnam flashback: Gee this pineapple almost looks like a hand grenade. Doh! Boom!
If that's the Max, I don't want to see the Minimum.
