Chief outside counsel for campaign aided Swift boaters
CRAWFORD, Tex. - A top lawyer in President Bush's reelection campaign acknowledged Tuesday that he has been advising the veterans group seeking to discredit Democratic presidential nominee John F. Kerry's military record, an admission the Kerry campaign said is evidence the president's campaign is orchestrating a "smear" by the private group Benjamin L. Ginsberg, the chief outside counsel to the Bush campaign who also has advised Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, said in an interview: "I've done some work for them. ... The law lets lawyers do that ... and does not include lawyers among the coordinated political activities" that are prohibited by federal election law. He said two prominent Democratic lawyers are doing the same thing.

And a lawyer for the DNC also works for MoveOn.org. I think his name is Sandler and he said it was not a conflict of interest.
This was mentioned in the next to last paragraph of an article posted on FR yesterday.
Ah, Dana Milbank. Tell me, Milbank, are you asking Kerry about his MoveOn.org hire, Zack Exley?
Ex Zackley!
I'd also like to know if Kerry agrees with his recent hire that the US is the world's WORST human rights abuser. Inquiring minds want to know...
I wonder if there was ever a MSNBC title ...
Or is this why the channel is affectionately known as Nothing But Crap.
Thanks for that link. Saved.
Ginsberg ... wasn't that the name of Monica Lewinski's first lawyer?
This is the kind of misleading information the Kerry machine pumps out to it's talking head spinners. They also send it out to reporters. The spinners repeat it on all the talk shows, the anchor doesn't correct them, their debating opponent (if they even have one), either isn't allowed to respond, gets drowned out, or hasn't been properly briefed to discredit the mis-information.
For instance: Last night on Scarborough, democrat spokesman Lawrence O'Donnell said all the former swiftboaters Kerry contacted by phone have disavowed the Swiftboat ad and book.
Not true. Drudge reported on Kerry's call to a former swiftboater named Brant yesterday. But JOe Scarborough didn't correct O'Donnell's intentional lie...that's what it was. Buchanan didn't correct it either, so MSNBC viewers were misinformed.
Former Kerry campaign manager is running moveon.org.
You know, somebody needs to explain the First Rule of Hole's to the Frenchurian Candidate:
Senator Kerry, when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
Duh...he makes it worse, and ensures this story stays in the news cycle, every time he mentions it. And by constantly making unsubstantiated claims about the President's involvement, he makes himself look like a whiner.
Never have heard Bush whine about moveon.org, or The Media Fund, or George Soros, or Michael Moore, or the various airhead celebrities that talk At Us, rather than talk with us.
Kerry is fast approaching an implosion.
The lies are also dominating the local news
I don't really think the Dems wanted the MSM to go there.
Joe Scorborough ratings "sucks". Do not worry about his ill informed viewers because the vast majority of them are the "masochist" conservatives who do not believe any of the liberal spin and remaining small minority is made up of flaming liberals who believe all the liberal spin.
yep... pure spin no substance. Just like saying Bush supporters are funding the swift boat vets. Why in the world would Kerry supporters fund them ?
