No link. As I mentioned in post 2977, it was described on air as an unconfirmed report. Until it is confirmed by somebody, I doubt anyone will report it on a website for fear of it merely being an unsubstantiated rumor.
The reason I posted it is that the gentleman who mentioned the possibility of a UBL tape floating around (Peter Bergen) is one of the most widely recognized non-governmental UBL/AQ experts in the world. So it was no run-of-the-mill internet rumor I was passing along. Bergen was reporting on Al Qaeda before the vast majority of the people in government even knew what it was.
I cannot remember the CNN interviewer. It was a female anchor. It was aired somewhere between 1pm and 3pm EST on CNN International.
Plus, simply because a tape has been released does not mean it is public. After all, it seems that a large portion of the Zawahiri videotape has not yet been aired (even though Al Jazeera has possession of the tape)
