This might be fun to watch, but it most definitely is NOT a sport.

You're full of it I've played beach volleyball for years and the amount of physical strength, endurance, and strategy to play the game is incredible.

Have YOU ever played serious beach volleyball????

You must not play volleyball or you wouldn't have said that. Sand 2's is the most difficult, demanding, and athletic form of volleyball. It's like jumping with bricks tied to your feet. Jumping that high and hitting a ball that hard and passing the ball and setting the ball takes years of training to get to the level that these women are at. Go play a pickup game at your local gym and come back and tell me it's not a sport. You're welcome to come try and pass my spikes anytime, but chances are that the ball will bounce off your face.

I agree 100 percent. You could call jello wrestling a sport and say "It's real hard" but it isn't a sport. This eye candy fest is only there to get a few people to watch the olympics.

It's a sport, just because there are other good reasons to watch doesn't make it not a sport. You've got a ball, rules, uniforms, and a contest. That makes it a sport.

there is a winner, a loser, and it is decided by the most points won. Artistic displays like gymnastics, synchronized swimming, dresage, and diving, where the results are subjective, are IFFY on the "sport" moniker.

Great eye candy though

I played all forms of volleyball.... and two on two in the sand is the hardest most demanding form of volleyball there is... by far....

What the hell are those pictures of? That's not a sport, that's a performance - and an edgy, more-than-PG13 one at that.

This is most definitely a sport.

So what's the "least like a sport" in the Olympics?

I vote equestrian events. The horse should get the medal.

You're right, it's not a demanding sport, that's why you see all those fat girls and guys playing it.

Have you ever played 2 on 2 volleyball?

There's a ball, and they keep score. It's a sport.
