This might be fun to watch, but it most definitely is NOT a sport.

Is too! Girl watching is a very demanding and time consuming sport requiring intense concentration, a comfy chair and copious amounts of adult beverages!

I should know. I am a professional girl watcher who is well versed in judging which girls are worth watching!

Not a sport???

Try it sometime..It takes stamina and skill to cover the field with two players. No offense, but you obviously don't know what you are talking about.

Only sport that actually have a score should be allowed in the Olympics. There should be no subjectively judged sports such as figure skating, dressage and gymnastics allowed. If you don't go out and score more points mano a mano then it doesn't count.

Their personal lives are nobody's damn business, but oh by the way, Misty May is engaged to be married to Matt Treanor. So much for your innuendo.

These gals held hands during the National Anthem. And they couldn't keep their hands off each other during post-game interviews. And they just referred to each other as "partners."

Vedddy interesting. . . .

Everytime I turn Beach VB on there's much butt-slappin' going on. I haven't seen so many women touching each other since my girlfriend coaxed me into a WNBA game.

I have a good friend who plays (well played until going off to law school) beach volleyball and she was telling me that about 1/2 the girls probably are bisexual or lesbians. Others act that way in public just to get more attention. The media will always focus on the girls that hug, kiss, or slap each other on the butt rather than on those that don't. Of course some hug just because they're happy as she always did with her teammate when they won but it didn't have any other meaning.

Of course who would forget this display from last week.

Bulgaria's Tzvetelina Yanchulova (L) and Petia Yanchulova kiss after winning the a preliminary round of the women's beach volleyball against Germany at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games...

I repeat:

WHAT THE HECK IS A "DUMB ASP?"

I see I'm not going to get any resolution on this matter.

Asp:

Why does this thread seem to attract so many San Franciscans?

Gavin Newsom:

Volleyball in sand is not easy period, however the Olympics insistence that the women wear ungodly small bikini's when playing basically undercuts any attempt at taking it seriously as a sport.

Guys wear T-Shirts and Bermuda's but women gotta wear binkinis they have to dig out of their butt crack after every serve and barely cover their chests?
