** AFTER CONTACTING SWIFT VETS DIRECTLY, KERRY HAMMERS AT BUSH IN NYC"
WMCA - New York ^ | 8.24.2004

Posted on 08/24/2004 9:48:37 AM PDT by KMC1

NEW YORK - This morning, John Kerry used New York City as the launching pad for his latest rounds of attack on President Bush and urged the GOP to abandon the negative attacks of "fear and smear" and to return to the debate on issues.

However, it is clear from a reported phone call that Kerry participated in Sunday evening that Kerry sees that the discontentment of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth as fundamentally non-related to the Bush campaign.

Kerry reportedly placed a call to Robert Brant (Ret.) Commander, United States Navy. Brant had skippered boats #96 and #36 and spent time with Kerry in An Thoi. According to reports Brant used to put Kerry back to bed when he would be caught sleepwalking.

In a world-wide exclusive broken by Internet journalist Matt Drudge, Kerry clearly asks a Swift Boat Veteran who is critical of him - what he did?

Kerry: "Why are all these Swift Boat guys opposed to me?"

Brant: "You should know what you said when you came back and the impact it had on the young sailors and how it was disrespectful of our guys that were killed over there."

Kerry: "When we dedicated SB1 in (19)'92, I said to all the swift guys that I wasn't talking about the swifties, I was talking about all the rest of the veterans."

Kerry also asked for an opportunity to meet with Brant - face to face. Brant declined...

If that call really took place, then he would be in violation, right? Is there any part of Mc-F that specifically limits contact to 527's supporting the candidate?

I would DIE laughing if W filed a protest with the FEC. Oh, what I wouldn't give to see the look on F'n's face... well, actually with all that botox it would look the same, but still...!

He saved his children's hamster when it fell into the water.

If I am not mistaken this was a story one of Skerry's daughters told at the DNC, also, I believe, mentioning how dad have the hampster mouth to mouth resuscitation

I will NOT be surprised if John Kerry now drops out.

They will have to see some polls that show the hit sticking. They will then have to see that they cannot reverse the downward trend. Then, I think they will elevate John Edwards. He has fewer negatives and realy is the only one with a legitimate claim if Kerry declines to continue running. Now, he may choose Hillary to be VP. But absent a convention there really is no vehicle for Hillary to be inserted in the top spot.

Forget what skerry said. Official navy records and in the words of one Rassman:

"we were in a village of non-combatants where there were only women, children and old men, when we got ready to leave Kerry and I threw grenades into a rice bin, blowing it up, and Kerry got rice frags in his ass".

OK, flash back to skerry's senate testimony, where he said one of the war crimes being committed, "was the destruction of civilian food stocks".

Destruction of non-combatant civilian food stocks a war crime????

Exactly what he and Rassman did that morning, 13th of March, 1968.

Later, on that same day when the mine exploded under PCF-3, skerry was on the other side of the river, before he fled the scene. (he was there, before he never left, before he came back) But then the compulsive liar in claims for his purple heart states, he got shrapnel (rice grains) in his arse? Liar, liar, pants on fire

Do not take the word of a sociopath on faith. Its time to increase the rate of artillery fire on Campaign Kerry.

"Right. So Kerry is now saying that he trashed all vets EXCEPT the swifties? How does that make all those 'Nam vets feel, those that were not swifties?"

I see this as possibly his dumbest statement yet, it doesn't even make sense in light of the fact that he claimed to have participated in atrocities himself. Is he now saying that he alone of the Swifties was guilty of atrocities? This guy is bizarre! He really is starting to make Slick Willy look good by comparison!

The MSM has to change the subject for Kerry.

He's an admitted war criminal, he certainly can't change it to Abu Girard.

Lyndie England for president in 2030! A chicken in every pot, and a pantie on every head. Maybe she can do some congressional hearings talking about how she personally cut the ears off Iraqis, and President Bush sent her on a secret mission to Iran.

The MSM would make her a heroine in 10 minutes.

"He will not function at a normal level when this is over."

How would you determine that, is there a normal level where this man is concerned?

My thoughts exactly, which is precisely why I get so frustrated when I see irrational talk of "Hillary" and "dropping out" as entirely counterproductive to our goal. Kerry isn't finished by a long shot. In fact with the MSM in his pocket, I'd say he still has the advantage.

Ran into a guy over on mainside at GLAKES who had been in my boot camp company while attending 'A' school. He was an OK guy and not inclined to get out early or anything. Apparently he had started his 'A' shool and then they found him sleepwalking down by Lake Michigan a few times.
He was awaiting for his medical disharge. The USN does not allow sleepwalkers. He was actually kind of sad, as he said he was enjoying his school.

A fair analysis but I see point number 2 as more likely than point #1. If Kerry, like Gore, has prepared all his life to be president, the ego, the dream and the fantasy that the office is his will keep him from dropping out. Remember, these guys are driven by ego and by believing their own publicity.

Kerry is imploding before our eyes and every move he makes in opposition to the Swiftees only weakens him more. Kerry doesn't have to wait for Nov. 2 to lose the election, he's busy defeating himself now.

Good insight on the sleepwalking. I think you'e right.

BTW, did you hear what Kerry's radio call-sign was? "Boston Strangler". He made that up himself, although the only thing he ever choked was his chicken.

Good groundwork for getting out of the Military, you're right.

But they shot themselves in the foot again trying to elicit some sympathy from the masses.

Do we want a President with a history of sleepwalking?

I think not.

A SS guy to put him to back to bed? If he and Mrs. Kerry share a bed, I imagine he will do some sleepwalking...

Did she mention that the hamster quickly washed his mouth out with Listerine and then jumped back in the water? Poor hamster, no dumb animal should be forced to have an intimate relationship with Botox face.

OTOH, the hamster story probably goes over well with one segment of his supporters. I understand that many of them have a most peculiar fascination with gerbils.

(if you don't get the reference to gerbils, don't ask, it's too disgusting to explain)

I like to think that there are some moderate and conservative Dems left (maybe I am fantasizing?). With the socialists/commies in control of the party, I would think that the old Dems would be in a panic. It is one thing to have the DU groupies to get all excited and view his mis-steps as 'awesome', but shouldn't the reality for political survival enter in at some point?

This guy is a disaster for the Dems. He makes Ted Kennedy look like President Eisenhower (yes I vaguely remember him!). He even makes Hillary look like Mamie? Or maybe that is the plan?

The public needs to realize three things about the Kerry:

1) If the claims about war crimes are true then he stated he was a participant.

2) The claims are knowlingly false and he lied during his congressional testimony.

3) The claims are false and he lied during his congressional testimony, but he believes them to be true. In which case he is a certifiable nutcase.

Irregardless.....He's "Unfit for Command".

Can't we just put anything that happened before, say, last week behind us? Can't we just move on to discussing important issues, like prescription drugs?
Can't we just all get along? Hug an arab today. Kuck Ferry (not mine, but I like it).
