Fox will cover the speech live...one key question..will Kerry take questions from the press. Will he be asked to release his contemporaneous diaries? Will he be asked to release his complete military records? Will he attempt to mitigate his hideous testimony to the Senate accusing Americans of War crimes?..Will he say he was wrong about being in Cambodia?
I stand corrected!
Bill Clinton did not have a dog, Buddy, until 1997 just weeks before the Monica thing broke---sadly for Buddy he got hit by a car and died six month after the Clinton's left the White House. I'm sure he's with Ron Brown and Vince Foster now.
Good.... now about that Liberal Senate record, Sen Kerry ...
BTTT
Still seems to have his "ribbons" in that photo. What is the date of the phot, and how does it compare to when sKerry claims to have tossed his medals (or "ribbons" - they're "absolutely interchangable" you know)?
Am I being pessimistic,"
no. just perceptive.
the press only reports on allegations against Kerry if and when they can discount or refute them. that is why they didnt even cover them for weeks, and why when they did the ir headlines were along the lines of "new evidence discounts swift vet story" ... breathlessly reporting the kerry side and ignoring the swift vet charges.
"Liberal media have been effective in covering up the many retractions Kerry has been forced to make by the allegations from the Swift Boat Vets for Truth?"
To some extent. OTOH, swift vets *have* forced Kerry to respond, which is more than we might have hoped.
" does it seem that Kerry and the liberal media have been effective at painting the Swift Boat Vets for Truth as the liars even though Kerry and the liberal media have discredited none of the allegations that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth have made"
to some extent, yes, although they are really minor nicks in the record, they have Rood, Russell and other 'new reports' confirming pro-Kerry elements to certain events.
OTOH, i am *shocked* that the WashPost reconstruction and the events around the Rassman rescue have forced a complete revision in the Kerry story-line and the media says the SWIFT VETS story is suspicious.
Very strange.
" and only Kerry is making retraction after retraction?"
Well, that is what needs to be in the record. Make it precise.
Kerry said X - on date xx/xx/xx/.
Now the story is Y.
I am still waiting for Kerry on cambodia.
PING - Kerry New Soldier
PING - Kerry's Swiftvet smear quote
HA! .. Check this out
I was reading the local paper .. I couldn't get the article online .. but here is another one that reports pretty much the same thing
Seems now Kerry REFUSED to be operated on.

(SNIP)
Kicking off two days of pro-Kerry events across Pennsylvania on the eve of expected new anti-Kerry TV ads sponsored by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth group, Del Sandusky said he personally witnessed the battle action for which Kerry received Silver and Bronze stars and two of his three Purple Hearts.
"He deserved every one of his medals," Sandusky, a retired computer repairman who drove Kerry's boat for nearly three months in early 1969, told a news conference at Pennsylvania's Capitol. "He carries a piece of shrapnel in his leg because he refused to be operated on and (spend) a couple of days in the hospital and leave us on the boat" without a commanding officer.
"I was there when he got wounded. I saw the blood. I don't care what Dole said," Sandusky said, referring to suggestions by Republican former Sen. Bob Dole and other Kerry critics that the Democratic presidential candidate received an early exit from combat for "superficial wounds."
I'd give kerry a 2 (exagerrations and 'fish stories').
except for cambodia, that's a 1 (outright fairytale).
but that could mean it doesnt cover the "MSM counterattack" articles.
Sounds like pure, unadulterated B.S.
How many times has Kerry changes his story? We'd need a flow chart to keep up with his ever changing stories.
"When we dedicated swift boat one in '92, I said to all the swift guys that I wasn't talking about the swifties, I was talking about all the rest of the veterans."
Oh, ok...that makes it ok.
If he said this, he is really in big trouble!!!! Imagine the reaction of those 'other' vets!
He carries a piece of shrapnel in his leg because he refused to be operated on and (spend) a couple of days in the hospital and leave us on the boat" without a commanding officer.
---
yeah, except the swifties say he hitched a ride on another boat, leaving someone else to drive the supposedly damaged PFC-94 to pull PCF-3 back to base ... AND, within a week of this incident, put in for going back stateside!!!
I'd really like a Sandusky v Thurlow discussion on events.
OMG.
Don't misplace this doozie.
"He carries a piece of shrapnel in his leg because he refused to be operated on and (spend) a couple of days in the hospital and leave us on the boat" without a commanding officer.
THAT requires a vomit break for me.
exactly right! Also if it is a male cat it might be blocked!
LOL. Can you stand it? All he has to do is sign a little form and all these "questions" (read: lies) would be cleared up.
