He could have been more in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, but as long his mother was an American he's elligible.

The people of Illinois need all the additional support we can get. This is a way left state with way left media that is all too happy to carry Barack's way left water (Kool-aid?)

This campaign needs all the heads, hands, hearts and wallets it can get!

Jim you are correct and I am doing my part. I am hosting a meeting/party at my house in Decatur, IL on Sept. 2 when President Bush is to speak. I will ask those who attend to help Keyes also. It might just be me and the two dogs but I do not know how to locate others who support Keyes to invite them. Got any suggestions?

Oh, I forgot, I do not know what Obama did for the first 40 years of his life which would qualify him to be a senator but I do not think he is gay.

I think the problem that some people have is that ifAlan were a democrat, this forum as well as other conservative voices would be all over him for what he has done with "carpet bagging" after saying he would never do it and his surprising reparations talk as well as other actions that have been discussed recently and through the years regarding the actions/character of Alan Keyes. It would be pointed out that it's just part of being a democrat to do such things and why they should never be elected to office. That's why you have a camp that seems to be coming from a principal position.

Then you have the true Keyesters who would find a reason to defend Alan if he suddenly stood naked in the middle of the Miracle Mile in Chicago as a brilliant move. The man can do no wrong no matter what he says or does.

That being said, he is the better choice than Obama. But he does have some very questionable actions/proposals that should make any conservative question what is going on.

However, it's an influx of Liberal Moderates into the GOP precipitating friction against the Reagan Republicans and "American Sovereignty and Constitutional Representation" Conservative movement that seems so extremely wrong at the wrong time

Whether they admit it ,or not ,it usually boils down to one issue , ABORTION.

Anyone involved in campaigns for Life knows the spiritual battle.

Alan Keyes is their enemy.

September 2
PARTY FOR THE PRESIDENT HOSTED BY ALAN KEYES*
Join us at the Chicago Hilton and Towers the night President Bush accepts the party’s nomination. Party starts at 7:00p. More details will be included in Wednesday’s newsletter.

___________________________________________________________

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP NOW:

* WE NEED HELP AT HEADQUARTERS!! This week we will have signs, data entry, and a host of other activities that need to get done as soon as possible. We will also make a promise to order lunch or dinner at the office every time we get ten or more volunteers. It’s always a great chance to network and make new friends. (118 North Clinton, Suite 204, Chicago, IL 60661)

* SIGN COORDINATORS - We need to have at least one person in every county willing to help deliver signs to everyone who has requested them over the last few weeks. If you’re interested in being a coordinator or just a distribution site, e-mail Jeremy@Keyes2004.com.

* RECRUIT THE TROOPS - Have your friends and family pledge to support Alan on November 2nd. Attached to this e-mail is a form for you to take to your friends and family and have them commit to support Alan for U.S. Senate. Don't limit yourself to just your friends and family, take the fight to the streets. Go door to door and ask everyone you come in contact with. Print out as many forms you can get filled out, and mail them back to us. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 617817, Chicago, IL 60661.

If you are unable to open the attachment to this e-mail, you should make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, which you can download at Adobe's website. If that still doesn't allow you to open the file, you can e-mail Jeremy@Keyes2004.com for assistance.

You can also direct your friends and family to the volunteer section of the website to volunteer. (See http://www.keyes2004.com/volunteer)

* HAVE YOUR FRIENDS CONTRIBUTE & VISIT WWW.KEYES2004.COM -
We need to raise considerable money as fast as we can. The more money raised through the website the faster we can turn it into campaign resources. If you would rather not contribute online, you can make out a check payable to "Keyes 2004, Inc.," and mail it to P.O. Box 617817, Chicago, IL 60661.

* INFORM US OF EVENTS IN YOUR AREA - With your help, we can keep Alan busy visiting with the people of Illinois. If you know of events Alan should attend in your area, e-mail information about them to info@keyes2004.com. Always assume we don't know about them!

* PRINT AND POST KEYES SIGNS - Print out Alan Keyes signs and fliers while you wait for the really good stuff coming next week.

Maybe so......

But, the bottom line is at this time the die has been cast and there are four candidates in the race...... Of the four one will be elected to the Senate from IL. The question is which one with their warts and all will be the best for the Nation at this time? You have got to get the best option elected and then hold their feet to the fire after they take office. No other options exist except not to support any of them... jmo.

The Candidates:

Alan Keyes------Republican
Barack Obama----Democrat
Jerry Kohn------Libertarian
Albert Franzen--Independent

Keyes is better than Obama, but with that "Reparations" garbage (whatever his intentions) he ain't gonna make it. I supported him over GWB for President and I wouldn't vote for him after hearing that.
Keyes had a tough race to start, and stalled at the starting line.

Yes, I was disappointed recently to learn that I only agree with Alan 98% of the time, instead of 99%. That's better than my relationships with most people I know, let alone politicians. Somehow I think we'll survive.

They're very minor, bordering on the insignificant, making me question the motivations of the anti-Keyesteristas, especially considering the fact that Alan is the greatest exponent of conservatism today.

"I've been asked to state my position. Here it is. I support Alan Keyes 100% for Senate and oppose Barack Obama 100%."

One can actually disagree with the choice of Alan Keyes as a candidate in a State where he does not live, one can also disagree with Keyes reparations stunt because it is causing more division within the ranks when unity is sorely needed, and one can even take issue to his past attacks on the incumbent GOP President without it meaning that by voicing those opinions, one supports Barack Obama.

I don't have a vote in Illinois (at least that I know of...), and I deeply resented the destruction of federalism represented by Hillary Clinton's willingness to go into a state she didn't even live in and pretending to represent people there. So I certainly wouldn't support it now simply because it's a guy with an "R" attached to his name doing it.

after saying he would never do it

He didn't do it. Why don't you wear a sign on your bum: "I drink mainstream media Kook-Aid?"

Read the reasons Keyes was finally convinced after significant asking/begging, to do this.
