MaryAnne Marsh Democratic Talking Head
HawaiianGecko | Aug 23, 2004 | HawaiianGecko

I cannot believe my ears. I was just watching Hannity and Colmes and a Democratic pundit named MaryAnne Marsh just said that President Bush "Betrayed his country by not serving in Vietnam."

It's nice to know that my "voluntary service" in the United States Air Force for four years, all of it during the Vietnam war, although none of it spent "in country", now allows my to wear the lastest badge of honor from the miserable democratic party. Evidently I betrayed my country. I am so happy that this twit has explained to me that I betrayed my country at a time when I'm sure she was betraying this same country and allowing the football team to use her filthy body as a trampoline. I should have acted like a true Democrat, deserted my service and flown to Vietnam on my own dollar so that I could blow up cans of rice and collect purple hearts. This woman is the lowest piece of crap I have ever heard in my life, she is lower than pond scum and if I ever come within spitting distance of this piece of utter vermin she'll find out what a monsoon really is.

Now that you mention they think we are stupid. Frank (lastname) of the Gallup polling organization was on C-Span last Friday I believe. He was explaining why Gallup uses "Likely" voters rather than "registered" voters or "all adults" to a seminar of journalists so they could properly devine the results of various polls. He said the difference between "Registered" & "Likely" voters was that a likely voter was more educated and that "likely" voters trend 5-7% more GOP, hence, Republicans are more educated. BTW: the ANES report (American National Election Survey) shows Republicans at 39% College Degree, 27% for Independents and 22% for Democrats.

And Hannity said what if anything in response?

How about Colmes?

Wonder how she squares her statement with John Edwards lack of military service? He's Vietnam age.

I heard that too. Sean responded well - however - Sean - if you're listening, whenever a Dim Dem says something stupid like that, you should say, "Do you know how ridiculous and stupid that sounds? I'll respect your integrity and honesty if you'll admit you made a mistake".

I would have then asked her if she served in Viet Nam.

That's what I would have said.

Sean called her on it - but I can't remember his exact response. I think he is probably one of the best at countering the hypocrisy of the left. I think he's better th an O'Reilly.

If it would have been me - I would have embarrased her a lot more.

Good question, where has this guy been anyway? A month ago everytime Edwards said something intelligent, Kerry would try and add to his statement and screw it up. Personally I think Edwards was getting too much of the spotlight for Johnny and Tur-a-za

Well all of you out there that had Honorable service in the National Guard are now Traitors, according to the Democratic Party, because you didn't go to Vietnam and serve.
I for one am certainly glad of that new verification of what a Traitor can be.
Has the Democratic Party gone totally bonkers?
30 odd years ago they turned against the War in Vietnam and just about encouraged, with John Kerry's help when he came back, for people to treat Military people, returning Vets especially, with contempt and be Spit upon.
Now they embrace the war and John Kerry, man where does the Hypocrisy stop. As Doc Holiday said in "Tombstone", "Wyatt my hypocrisy only goes so far".

During the 1996 election, Marsh served as the GOTV director for the Massachusetts Democratic Party, which resulted in the defeat of two Republican Congressmen, the re-election of United States Senator John F. Kerry, and the largest plurality for President Clinton in the country.

During the 1994 election cycle, her clients included United States Senator Edward M. Kennedy and every Democratic member of the House of Representatives?

Actually he said she was disgusting. I'm not sure I've heard anyone being accused of that on TV before, but it's still better that what I would have called her. If I spoke the FCC would have had a conniption.

I happened to see just a snippet of the show right after she apparently said this.

Jay Nordlinger, whose columns I have often enjoyed but I'd never seen him before, was on and he was stunned and he and Sean asked her if she wished to retract (retract what, I wondered, having just tuned in) and they then repeated what she'd said.

She said no she stood by it and Sean said "George Bush served his country".

He said it firmly and in a tone that should have shamed Mary Ann if she was capable of such, which I highly doubt.

I was in the Air Force regular service and my brother was in the Kansas National Guard. He spent 13 months in Vietnam (getting more medals than Kerry) and I didn't spend a day in four years.... go figure

They are unreal. They don't care that they are incoherent sleazeballs--they just want to spew their venom and hope it helps Kerry get a couple of votes.

Yep, watched it all too, and almost fell out of my seat. They don't know when to say "oops"... She really screwed up, but didn't know how to back out of it, so she kept going. Sean nailed her pretty good, but he didn't have time to really screw her with logic and the hypocrisy of her statement. Not bad though. I agree with one of the other posts, Sean's better at the quick wit debate, O'Reilly is too easy to get off track. He tubed it with Michael "Jabba" Moore a few weeks back in a similiar square off. Two points for Sean!

My late father was drafted in January, 1946, and served in Okinawa, where either no walls or one wall was standing in the capital city of Naha (population of 250,000 according to him). He finished his service, went to college on the GI Bill and ROTC, and took a commission in the Nat'l Guard and later the Army Reserve. He spent a year of active duty during the Berlin Crisis of 1961 (construction of the Berlin Wall). He retired at the rank of major after putting in twenty years. When I was young, we had very few family vacations, as he was an executive in a small ad agency which could not afford for him to take two weeks off for summer camp AND two weeks of vacation.

He said that one of the reasons why he stayed in the Army was because he did not want to see destruction such as he witnessed on Okinawa visited upon the USofA (fortunately, he died before the destruction of 9-11).

And now this twit has the audacity to disparage the service of reservists!!! How dare these people!!!!!

Between this heifer and Chad Clanton the dems are demonstrating their inability to find flacks that come up to any standard at all. They have the idea that as long as they are making noise from the hole under their nose, everybody is nodding up and down.

But to be honest about it they are doing a great job for ol' Gigilo John and.....who's he running/stmbling with?
