August 23, 2004 -- JOHN KERRY'S presi dential campaign, which slighted Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton during the Democratic convention last month, now wants the former first lady to lead its "truth squad" at next week's GOP convention, The Post has learned. Party insiders said that aides to Clinton were engaged in "intensive talks" over the weekend with Kerry's representatives about the role she is expected to play.

Of course, the pant load will not do it. But, Kerry lays the groundwork for laying blame for his upcoming landslide defeat.

Nope, I read that sentence the opposite. I think it says
that HILLARY is franticly PUSHING for more involvement.
Surely she feels she NEEDS to be front-and-center in
everyone's minds when Kerry takes his eventual nosedive
a-la-Toricelli/Wellstone/Vince Foster.
has anyone else noticed that McAullife has been unusually
quiet for a while?
... just about as quiet as the phoney pro-kerry push-polls recently.

"OK, this has GOT to be a joke."
Yes, the Hildabeast is probably one of the worst liars.

Kerry crawls to Hill. What's he got to negotiate? That he appoints her Secretary of Defense if he's elected? Being part of his cabinet wouldn't carry the lustre of her current office, but there's the risk she'd lose her seat in 2006 if Rudy runs against her.

Kerry really is that stupid. Amazing. Getting Hill to prop him up is an admission his campaign has already deep sixed.

And in a related story, her husband Bill has been chosen to do the virgin check. Insiders tout his familiarity with the geography, but acknowledge his total inexperience with the concept.

Giving Hillary Clinton free reign in a high-level and powerful "truth finding" role is like opening up the local boy's home to the MBLA.
Heads would roll, and not just in a figuratively speaking way either.

Right, sounds reasonable to me. While we're at it let's have Michael Moore head diet seminars, and Ted Kennedy teach people how to drive home from the bar.

Hillary "jello brain" Clinton to lead its "truth squad" at next week's GOP convention? I don't think so!
What Kerry really wants is a surrogate, one guaranteed to generate attention from her adoring media, maybe even steal some headlines away from the Bush Convention. Kerry wants Hillary to speak for him while he stays safely out of sight.
