If this campaign were any more inept, Michael Moore would be making a documentary claiming Kerry's a Republican plant secretly controlled by Karl Rove and the House of Saud. Almost right ... he is a plant ... Hillary's potted plant.

" His hagiographer...."
hagiographer-1. a writer of the lives of saints 2. a writer of a biography that idealizes its subject.
I believe the columnist was referring to #2.

Maureen Dowd, the paper's elderly schoolgirl columnist I can really appreciate a good turn of phrase.

Some great ones here....
CNN host James Carville, former skinhead-in-chief to Bill Clinton, yelling and howling all over O'Neill's answers
Maureen Dowd, the paper's elderly schoolgirl columnist
Kerry was apparently infuriated by the cool reception he got from a veterans' audience last week.
Rightly so!
If this campaign were any more inept, Michael Moore would be making a documentary claiming Kerry's a Republican plant secretly controlled by Karl Rove and the House of Saud.
But the best has to be.....
KERRY: STRANGE, STUCK-UP and STUPID
Priceless!

Kerry is stupid, but in a different way: he is typical of rich, liberal elitest snobs who think that they can get away with fooling the poor, dumb, ignorant "masses" all the time. Just because the guy has access to a $billion which he got by being a "kept boy" all his adult life, he thinks the money and power entitle him to never have anything he says questioned by his "lessers". Kerry opened this can of worms and now he is going to have to eat his fill.

I wouldn't stand for Parliament on a family values platform because I know someone's bound to bring up the 123 gay porn movies I had a bit part in back in Amsterdam in the 1970s. Yeesh. Mark, I hadly knew ye. < |:)~

Mark Steyn: Kerry: strange, stuck-up... and stupid Excerpt: I said a couple of weeks back that John Kerry was too strange to be President, and a week or two earlier that he was too stuck-up to be President. Since I'm on an alliterative roll, let me add that he's too stupid to be President. What sort of idiot would make the centrepiece of his presidential campaign four months of proud service in a war he's best known for opposing?
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.

Exactly! What sort of idiot? Men remember their military stints for the rest of their lives. Not like a short affair with a woman you became friendly with. 4 months AD after basic might have been a short affair for him. That's his original problem.
