Kerry apologist Brinkley is now on Hardball, with Buchanan.
one man's opinion

Key question..Kerry has given his wartime journal to Brinkley, said that's why he can't releasde it to the press. Will he be asked to make them public?..or will they all go in the tank

"No money in that."

Yes and no.

The good news is that after just three days on the bookstore shelves, buchanan's latest rewrite of the same old book has dropped in price from $24.95 to $16.97; it's plummeting quicker then a buchanan for president campaign. At this rate it should be comparably priced to real toilet paper by the end of the week. Still, I'm sure his book will end up on a few coffee tables next to Michael Moore and Hillary Clinton.

The bad news is, the media is latching onto his book, calling him a "conservative icon" and using it to attack the President...just as Buchanan intended.

Now there are real folks out there in the fuzzy middle who might not know the truth about buchanan...they might actually fall for his BS.

"I could care less about Cambodia", Matthews says.

I had missed this from Matthews. I wash my hands of his show (again).

Tonight on PBS, David Gergen was saying this is going to be dangerous for Bush.

Translation: The ads are KILLING Kerry!

"oh, Dole's first Purple Heart was for a minor possibly accidentally self-inflicted wound, he's just like Kerry"

True. But deserving of the PH because it occured in the "heat of battle." Kerry's self-inflicted wounds did not, so arguably he did not deserve the PH's, and thereby, his early ticket home.

Yes perhaps, if an American combat infantry officer can accidentally injure himself with self-inflicted German machine-gun fire while assisting a downed soldier. Look here for another version of the story. Those fools are using "self-inflicted" in response to the Swifties. They don't have a clue what it means.

>>>Does Douglas Brinkley have ANY credibility left?

>He had none to begin with.

How can anybody with a ridiculuous rug like that have any credibility?

If the Kerry camp admits the Swiftees are right about one thing, only one, then the dam will break.

They already admitted Kerry did not spend Christmas in Cambodia.

" this is a total flip-flop"

Don't know if you saw my post on another thread-but,one of Kerry's swift boat vets, Patrick Runyon was on World News Tonight. Runyon has stepped in it, only adding to Kerry's woes.

1)Runyon gave a new version of Kerry's 1st PH.
2) This new version contradicts Runyon's previous statements in 2 books, that he had no idea how Kerry was injured, it was an arm scrape and he didn't even realize Kerry had been injured.
Guess he wasn't slipping all over Kerry's blood on the deck.
3)Runyon's new version contradicts today's remarks by the Kerry campaign that in fact, Kerry's 1st PH may actually have been as the SBVFT say it was- self inflicted.

It's actually getting quite hysterical watching the Keystone Kerrys falling all over themselves trying to reinvent history.

We should have sent the torquing and back flipping Kerry to the Olympics- he could have taken gold in every gymnastic event-especially the girls.

I was listening to the Big Story today and right at the end they had Major Garrett on. He was talking about how (concerning the 1st PH) 9 days after the incident which got Kerry his first PH, That they were leaving on their first patrol and they were cocky because they hadn't been shot at yet.

He said he ask the Kerry campaign for a comment about that and then he said that the Kerry people said it was possible the first Purple Heart was given for a un-intensionally self-inflicted wound.

Wow--I posted that I heard this on Brit's show. I am just making my way reading posts on this thread so am just seeing your report. Yes, I heard it. I see on my pings page someone down thread points out that it's not just being wounded--it's the circumstances, of course.

This is just stunning and a huge vindication of the Swift Vets.

Chris says to Doug Brinkley that he had on "A Michele Malkin OR SOMETHING" the other night.

Says she claimed a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Michelle got buffaloed by Chris, confusing "self-inflicted" with "shot himself on purpose".

Chris repeatedly asked her if she was claiming that Kerry shot himself on purpose, and she never just said "no".

A slick gamble by Chris, and it paid off.
