Hi Pippin!

Sometimes I have a difficult time with the President not coming out and responding to some of the attacks that he gets. While I am screaming at the television, he is behaving in a Christian manner. I just finished reading the new book about President Bush - A Matter of Character. In it there is a discussion between him and one of his staff where the staff member was urging him to get back at someone who had sabotaged him. His response is that he is not going to do the spite thing.

Yes I agree he does set a very good Christian example but sometimes like you I get very frustrated when something is said or an inflammatory question is put to him and you think that he is being handed the punch line and he just deflects it and very often justs smiles. I do not know if I could do that

It is frustrating especially whe you want him just to come out swinging, but he's not going to do it.

He's doing what St.Paul said in his letters, by being kind to youe enemies you will be heaping hot coals on thier heads.

I'm gonna try to find that passage in the Bible.

(But I'm sure he reacts a little in private.)
