That's exactly my point -- if someone somewhere doesn't stop repeating all the profanity and sexually-suggestive and swear words, the hearers imbibe it. I know this from experience, as you find it happening at work. So when I'm reading this great man's autobio, I'm having to fight against the "Army talk" on every page. It detracts amazingly from the nuggets of truth and wisdom.
Also, re McCain: CFR (Campaign Finance Reform) was generated by Senators McCain and Feingold (notice how no one is talking about Feingold on this? One guess which party he belongs to: if you said Democrat, you're right). So Bush is calling on McCain to work with other Senators to fix the legislation (rewrite the bill and send it to him in a viable form so that unregulated monies can't be spent in campaigns).
I hate it when books do that. Great boks are ruined by the profanity.
I sure hope there are pictures. I have missed pictures for awhile. Hasn't it been a couple days? LOL feels like a lifetime. I sure do enjoy this thread and the people on it. I am rarely home to even participate. Actually I am asleep when the pictures are being put up and when I get up they are all done and 500 posts up.
It has been a few days; the Pres. has been on vacation in Crawford. I just miss seeing him amongst all the negativity. It's just such a relief to finally see the Pres. and hear him talking, after he's been "out of sight" for a few days.

I read more fiction books, but also hate the profanity. It distracts me from the story. More than once have I been tempted to write to the author and tell him/her how I feel.

When the negativity is the most I miss seeing him more too. I was hoping that his speech today would be on tv, but FOX only showed a little bit and I missed it :O(
I have read some good books that is laced with it too. I enjoy the war novels written by Tom Clancy, but his profanity is so prolific I cannot stand it. I stopped reading him because of that.

Yep, still here! Phancy's doing much better today! She's currently working on making more cards for wounded soldiers...
She does a great job with those cards I admire her I would not know how to begin to do something like that.
