My Activist Web Site Has Some Bugs. Technical Help Neeeded.
OSU REPUBLICANS ^
Posted on 08/23/2004 8:06:04 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55
I created a thread here a couple weeks back.
I was asking for help with a Web site that I was planning on building for the OSU College Republicans.
Well I have now built that Web site, and you can view it here.
Let me know what you think of it. But I do have another problem I would like some help with.
I recently added some links from gop.com and georgewbush.com
They are news tickers. I believe this is what is causing the errors. Could any expertise freepers help me out. It keeps asking me if I want to debug.

I'll first try taking the news tickers off, and see if that helps any.

At first glance, I see no problems. View it in a real web browser, not Internet Exploiter. It's known for bogus errors.

The site looks great. I didn't get any errors when I visited so perhaps you can give some details of the problem.

What a great-looking site, congrats!
(Small note: please be sure to make the word "Reagans" possessive)

Nice site...just a couple of (personal) suggestions for cosmetic and navigation purposes. Lose the word will following your headline about the next meeting.
Give your visitors a page bottom navbar escape on pages where they have to scroll down (thus losing the top navbar). This would include top & bottom navbars on photo pages. Some of your pages have them most don't.
I try to label graphics (when possible) to allow a mouseover description/identification...this applies to static graphics as well as linked graphics.
Overall, great work...good luck with response to your efforts and stay focused.

Hello from a fellow OSU Republican.
You should link to the Sentinel (www.osusentinel.com) as well. They aren't very active right now but I bet both of your sites would benefit from cooperation.

When I use lynx to grab the source text, it seems to have carriage return/line feed problems, and a lot of whitespace in the header (supposed to be javascript?). I don't know anything about Frontpage, but it strikes me as something that might happen if you made manual edits on a Windows file on a unix-based system.
