The Post has learned. Party insiders said that aides to Clinton were engaged in "intensive talks" over the weekend with Kerry's representatives about the role she is expected to play. "It will be high profile; she will be one of the responders at the convention, probably focusing on homeland security issues," said a source familiar with the talks.

It took months for Hillary to find her own billing records in her own bedroom. Why does any sane person think she can contribute ANYTHING to Homeland Security?

Actually, I've never understood this idea that somehow Hillary! must torpedo the Kerry campaign in order to run in 2008. It would seem advantageous to her as well that an 'idiot' dem. could win in '04. She would still be in charge behind the scenes, socialist agendas could better be advanced in a democrat administration. Favorable socialists could be appointed to courts, etc. all the while the public is getting more fed up with Kerry as President. THEN she could ride in as the Democrats' savior in 2008. There is no reason to suppose Kerry will automatically run for two terms if he wins this one.
