Is 'vigilante'-style justice the way to go, though? I agree with you that jerks have to be taken down, but why is it necessary to stoop to their levels (ie breaking the law big-time) to bring them down? I'm a member of ProtestWarrior and I want to see these clowns get taken down ASAP, but is it necessary to violate laws in order to do so? Just because they broke the law, doesn't make it right nor does it mean others should, even as revenge.....
On the other hand, if something were to happen to MoveOn.org, for example, I wouldn't condone it (as it is an illegal act of cyber-terrorism), but I would get a great laugh out of it, methinks.....:P

Which I knew when they could get it back up. Just found out this morning that it was down.
You can bet that the FBI will be using facial scan technology at the protests to assist NYPD in immediately arresting any wanted criminals. A surprisingly high proportion of the protestors will be criminals (10-15%).
Also, the NYPD will be using multiple directed high-volume sound generators for crowd control. One of the side effects of getting in the path of the sound beam is that one loses control of one's bowels! As if they don't smell bad enough already.
There are also many FBI/CIA agents in these organizations.
The protestors intending voilence or property crime will soon realize the superiority of controlled, organized force to anarchy.
The protestors who are truly peaceful, who are exercising their right to free speech thanks to the veterans of the current and previous wars, should stay far away from anyone who might break the law.
God, I hate 13 year old script kiddies. They get thier arses kicked in Doom, CS, Quake and so on and then get revenge by learning to hack. These kids will never have anything when they "grow" up. That includes a wife.
As for the complaint, it's a complaint with themselves, quite obviously. It's the SOP of the left. They look in the mirror, they see the corruption, and so then complain about the corruption of all but themselves. They are saying - you are patriots. You love freedom. You stand for the best of the nation. WE'RE GONNA SHUT THAT DOWN! and so on.

This election year has seen the use of 'dirty' tactics from the left; the likes of which I've never seen. The country is divided, and the future of the constitutional republic, as we know it, is under dire threat.
That being said; if I were technically inclined, I would think nothing of cracking and hacking any and all leftist websites that I could lay my keyboard on.
Ideally; it's fine and dandy to attempt to keep the 'fight' on a 'civilized' level. However, the left has already demonstrated that it isn't willing to follow suit. It may be time to take the fight to the level of the enemy.

It's probably way past time to pull out all the stops, but it's becoming apparent that it must be done.
