NEW YORK - Appearing on the Moncia Crowley Sunday show on NYC's WABC 770AM, the co-author of UNFIT FOR COMMAND, John O'Neill dared John Kerry to "sue me for libel".
And he got specific...
"If he was actually in Cambodia on Christmas Eve in 1968 he should sue me. If, in fact those other five boats on March 13th, if they all fled like he did instead of staying like he knows they did, he should sue me."
"If he didn't wound himself with a grenade, causing a rice fanny wound, and then reported it to the Navy as a water mine - if he didn't do that on March 13th he should sue me."
"(The point is Monica) on our first ad he (Kerry) had two huge lawfirms send letters to every station, threatening to sue the stations themselves (if they ran the ad)."
"Then he challenged the book's publisher (Regnery) indicating he would sue them if they had continued printing the book."

Kerry and his cronies know that they will never file suit and expose him to depositions, etc. Its just the same old threats from the DemoRATs. Just more of the same old victimhood party line.

It would be very difficult for John Kerry to prevail, even if he was entirely right, since he is a public figure. Atty O'Neal knows this or he would have never made it through law school. It's a red herring.

I hope Kerry goes down in November just for O'Neill's sake. O'Neill is so steadfast, so genuine. Squirm, Kerry.

O'Neill has said this in previous radio interviews as well; both on national as well as local programs. Like everything else coming from the Swift Vets, it's unchanging, unfaltering, and something that refuses to be addressed directly by the Democrats....they would prefer to silence the Swift Vets rather than answer the charges.
This particular challenge, "Sue Me!" is quite notable considering it's source and it's audience. Mr. O'Neill is a highly respected and accomplished lawyer in Texas while Kerry is merely an opportunistic Leftist hack and Edwards is emblematic of the worst of the ambulance-chasing attorneys who have destroyed so much of America with their frivolous lawsuits and tort abuses.
The American people are not stupid....they can see the absolute terror on the part of the Democrats at the prospect of having to deal with honest, honorable people who are merely telling the truth....something that the Dems are not accustomed to.
It will be a great pleasure to have President Bush remain in the White House for the next four years :-)

Cut the guy some slack. Can you imagine the pressure that John O'Neill has been under for the last month? He's an amazing individual, on a mission. It just so happens that it is our mission as well.
As Bill Kristol has said, Kerry's Band of Brothers are the Wintersoldier war protestors. May he burn in hell with them.
