see my reply to raybbr. And read attached link. Like the Swifties that weren't 'on the boat' I wasn't sitting in on the editorial meeting when this piece of trash was bandied about but I've been reading the Globe and his stuff long enough. Either directly or indirectly his fingerprints are all over this piece.Take it to the bank and if you doubt what I'm saying send Howie Carr at The Boston Herald an e mail and tell me what he says.

Ok, I get it now.
"As the Times also reported, Nixon's political henchman, Chuck Colson, had specifically recruited the Navy lieutenant, like Kerry a swift boat commander in the war, to debate the antiwar movement's freshest star on Dick Cavett's television program."

The Times may have reported this junk, but that doesn't make it so, as is the case with so much of what the NYT "reports." O'Neill was not recruited to debate Kerry on the Cavett program. He had already been signed up before Colson ever heard of him. So now I know beyond any doubt that Oliphant is a liar. Thanks, alydar. I appreciate it.
