I'm buying Unfit For Command this week.
Good luck on getting a copy. Even on line orders are shipping in weeks, not days. I ordered mine on the 16th, and it hasn't shipped yet, but they are still saying delivery will be within a week from today. However the site (Amazon) says that orders put in today won't ship until at least the 1st of next month. I'd say sales have been "brisk", in the same sense that Hurricane Charley was a "brisk wind".
Today, I stopped by Barnes & Noble to verify what I have read here, and it is all true. I went into B&N, looked around and did not find it. After browsing for what I was really looking for, I approach a clerk behind the counter. I asked the pony tailed guy if they had Unfit for Command, and he said he was just reading about it. He said the publisher had screwed up and was not available yet. He also mentioned there was no conspiracy, as B&N would want to sell it so as to make money. Another clerk came up and said that 4 were on special order and asked if I wanted to place a order. I said no, and told the both of them that I will order it from Amazon.com. Oh and by the way, the back counter behind the pony tail clerk, was lined with My Life. (I thought about refutung the clerk on conspracies, but why argue when I will take my business elsewhere.)

Informed her she didn't know her facts that the author was a democrat and suggested she might also enjoy reading Zell Miller's book or the books by Dick Morris....She left in a huff!

Good point. I kinda got the impression he was using talking points. It did strike me odd he said this while I was looking at the back counter lined with My Life. Almost sureal. By the way if any freepers live in Silicon Valley, check out the Barnes & Noble at San Tomas and Stevens creek blvd. It is worth a good laugh checking out the back counter. Just don't buy anything.
Chrissy ought to have former POW and Senator Jeremiah Denton on his show and ask HIM about Kerry's 'war wounds', if he doesn't think Bob Dole shouldn't be talking about them because he didn't serve in Vietnam. Denton endured torture because of the actions of Kerry and his anti-war friends. I'd like to see Chrissy try to bully HIM!
