If it looks bad for the dems, absolutely nothing. It's old news and the country must "move on." If it looks bad for the republicans all hell will break loose. it must be investigated until ever last member of the VRWC is in jail. After all, as Rush has stated for years, to the dems the natural order of things is to have the dems in power and the dems pretty much own the mainstream media.

I don't think it's illegal to be registered to vote in two places...It is illegal to vote in two places.

Yes, throw them in jail. But first we have to catch and then convict them.

A national ID number would provide our inept and feeble voter registration officials with a critical tool for identifying and prosecuting these felons.

Would your rather let this crime continue, or would you rather have a national ID number?

One was Norman Siegel, 84, who is registered as a Republican in both Pinellas Park, Fla., and Briarwood, Queens. Siegel has voted twice in seven elections, including the last four presidential races, records show. Of the 46,000 registered in both states, 68% are Democrats, 12% are Republicans and 16% didn't claim a party.

Until all 100% of these voters pay severe fines and/or do jailtime, voter fraud will continue...

Of course the personal story featured most prominently and written before the statistics is about a Republican, one of the 12% they have found.....infuriating!

That really jumped out at me when I read the article. It really frosted me the way they wrote it to soften the blow of the democrat fraud.

There will never be a seious attempt by the media to expose this problem until the 68% number pertains to Republicans. Once that happens all hell will break lose.

When I moved from California to Washington I regestered to vote. I didn't unregister in California and for all I know, I'm regestered in two states. I doubt that 1 out of a million bother to UNREGISTER to vote.

I agree and I'm sure it's an innocent oversight when people move and don't "unregister", at least most of the time. Eventually they should be dropped from the voter rolls in the original location.

The problem is some election boards don't review their rolls which makes them ripe for fraud. I believe that to be the case in places like Philly where virtually 100% of the adult population is supposedly registered to vote.

Also I'm not so sure the Florida snowbirds are your typical innocently double registered voters.

That is exactly what I was thinking. The only example they give is of a Republican, even though a great majority are Dems. A SLIGHT BIAS ??? Just thinking

I said this right after the 2000 election.

All one has to do is compare voter registration for NYC and the southern FL counties. I'll bet you'll find more than 46k.

Thanks for the heads up on this scandal! It's no surprise that heavily Democratic New York wouldn't check up on it's reliably democrat voters. Why would they?

And it's unfortunate for us that these democrat voters don't double vote in a state like Georgia where the tens of thousands of illegal democrat voters wouldn't sway the electoral college outcome.

We're just finding out about this, but you can bet it's no surprise to Jeb Bush.

We dont need more laws OR less privacy we need to enforce laws already on the books

Throw everyone of them in jail for felony fraud...take away their right to vote...

for life

Agreed. Most criminals never stop unless they are incarcerated or killed.

Also I'm not so sure the Florida snowbirds are your typical innocently double registered voters.

You can be sure they are not innocent. They are members of the AARP who usually vote solid democratic. Bush provided a prescription drug plan backed by the AARP to assist in breaking up this block. But the fact remains that double voting is illegal. Each poll should required a signed statement that the person did not vote in any other state. Then throw them in the clink when they make an "innocent" mistake and "forget" that they voted in NY. Of course they still have the advantage of voting in whatever state they believe needs their vote the most.

I travel constantly, but the law requires I have a single "state of residence". In my case it is Alabama. I will register and vote only in that state. Likewise, pay my taxes there. Snowbirds from a northern state and Florida should pick one state and make that their state of residence. Likely they will pick Florida for their favorable income tax status. Then they have to unregister in NY, even if that is where they happen to be in November.

If it can be proved that these people voted twice, they should serve 30 days in the county jail--they can choose which state.

Unbelievable--the vast majority of double voters are dem as noted, but every example except the last short mention is of them talking to Republicans. If someone misses the statistical breakdown like one of our posters did, or doesn't read to the very bottom of the article--why it looks like 100 percent of the double voters are the evil Republicans!

I wish the media would just wear t shirts to work that say "Doing our best each day to get John F'ing Kerry elected!"
