WASHINGTON (AP) - Sen. John Kerry's campaign released a video Saturday comparing the controversy over Kerry's Vietnam service to attacks on John McCain during the 2000 Republican primaries.

"McCain won't condemn his own words for Bush's sake, believe me"
If he doesn't than that means he has made his choice. The Republicans should write hime off permanently.
They HAD to have McCain's permission or McInsane will be weally, weally mad....NOT! PHONEY Republican.
READ THE EXIT POLLS! John McCain had HIGH marks in the South Carolina Primaries! People liked him then and like him now (probably more then than now). 98% of the people who thought military service was their # 1 quality to look for in a candidate backed McCain.
McCain lost South Carolina because his # 1 issue was campaign finance reform, which NOBODY EVER CARED ABOUT, then or now.
Bush's # 1 issue was Tax Cuts, which EVERYONE cared about, especially in the 2000 GOP primary.
McCain is Captain Ahab to GW as the Great Whale. He is obvioulsy filled with hate for Bush. GW, in playing his Machiavellian dance with McCain, has been playing a dangerous game, but it may be the only game in town.
That was the end of his campaign.
It was also in South Carolina that some veterans spoke up about him abandoning the POWs from Viet Nam.
His reaction at that time was similar to what Kerry is doing now. Screeching, screaming, and blaming Governor Bush. He intimidated those vets, but that is not going to work this time.
Perhaps because he wants it to come from someone who might actually be believed?
Pray for W and Our Troops
But...but..but there's no collusion between Kerry and the left's 527's...Nooooo...f'n hypocrites! I really hate these people
Wow....bump to print
I agree!!! I think it is time we stand up and make some real NOISE concerning John McCain. Rush and Hannity will no doubt have to address this issue Monday. We need to voice some real dislike for John McCain being involved at all in the Convention!!!!!!
ANd McCain is silent; McCain is allowing his fellow-POW to be referred to as a "Fringe Vet" in McCain's own words. McCain's silence on this use of him in Kerry's ad is alarming at best. If McCain doesn't stand up for his fellow-POWs, then McCain is complicit in the continued slander of Viet Vets. Its his choise, which side will he chose? If he doesn't speak out by tomorrow we will know the answer.
Kerry "hides behind McCain" because McC is speaking at the RNC and he just wants to use his name to keep his spin intact. Kerry's counting on the hope that Americans aren't really paying attention and he can still make his fantasy become the truth.
W will clear up the confusion at the Convention. I hope the MSM covers it without the Kerry spin.
Rush is leaving for Scotland on tuesday. He'd better make it loud and clear before he heads out. Who covers for him anyway?
And McCain is too stupid, or too ego-centric, to understand that he is being used as a "willing accomplice" or a dupe by the DemocRATs.
The SBVfT have said this is not about George Bush. It's about JFK being unfit to command our military. They've said that, if Bush asked them to stop, they would not. I believe them. John O'Neill said, "This is not President Bush's fight". The most horrible thing about McCain is that he's stabbed these veterans, some of them former POW's like himself, in the back. I wouldn't expect him to condemn anything for Bush's sake. But, it's despicable that he condemns the SBVfT's as dishonest and dishonorable men.
Wonder what the contents of his speech will be.
"LIAR!"
Oh good. Is it going to say, "I'm John Kerry and I approved this ad"?
BINGO!
