Since this story has broken, there has been some serious questions about the veracity of these claims. I'm posting this to show that the story is a total fabrication and has direct ties to none other than John Kerry.
A volunteer for John Kerry said Friday he picked up a flier in a Bush-Cheney campaign office in Gainesville, Fla., promoting Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group the Bush campaign has insisted for weeks it has no connection to.
Bill Shilling, a Kerry volunteer in Gainesville, says he went to the GOP offices there Thursday and picked up the flier from a pile of literature on the table.
"The flier they gave me was on the same table as some Bush-Cheney bumper stickers," said Shilling. "I asked them if the Swift boat veterans were coming to Gainesville, and the woman I talked to said yes."
Shilling said he went back to Kerry headquarters and turned over the flier.
"I thought there was supposed to be some separation between Bush-Cheney and the Swift boat controversy but I didn't understand there was a big deal about this," said Shilling. "I think this whole thing attacking Kerry's war record is a diversion by Bush-Cheney from the real issues of the campaign."

So, this person, Bill Shilling picked up copy of the flier at GOP HQs. I want to repeat something very important, "I thought there was supposed to be some separation between Bush-Cheney and the Swift boat controversy but I didn't understand there was a big deal about this".
That seems like he wasn't really aware of the magnitude of this, right? As if it was "news to him", right?
So, who is Bill Shilling? Is it possible that Bill Shilling is just a volunteer who stumbled onto this flier?
That would be quite a find for the Kerry campaign, wouldn't it? The so-called "smoking gun" just laying around?

After going on active duty I successfully completed basic artillery officer training at Fort Sill. I was assigned to the 2nd Battle Group, 31st Infantry Division, Fort Rucker, Alabama. As a first lieutenant, platoon leader, field artillery, our unit was responsible for training light-wing aircraft crews and helicopter crews on observing artillery fire. My three years in the Reserves came before I was commissioned and were served in Lakeland, Florida, in an MP unit, reaching rank of corporal. Three of these four years were concurrent with my four years of ROTC at Florida Southern College. After I served my two years of active duty it became clear to me that the military would not be an appropriate career for me. I like to think for myself, and I work very hard at whatever I do. I learned that in the military working hard didn’t pay off. It was better as an officer to just stay in the background with as little responsibility as possible and to stay socially connected. I was prepared to fight for my country if my country was truly threatened, but not interested in Vietnam. After my active duty service became an anti-war activist and a supporter of the Civil Rights movement based in Atlanta. I respect the US military and those who serve, but not in the ways those in ultimate authority use our military to promote the interests of American corporations and to extend “the empire.”

So, as it turns out, this "flier find" was found by a member of John Kerry's advisory board.
Also, I would like to point out that the flier was found on Thursday, August 19th. It was found the day after John Kerry crewman, Del Sandusky, spoke in Gainesville (at the Unified Training Center, 809 W. University Ave, Gainesville, Florida; August 18th, 7:00-9:00 PM).
Is it possible that Mr. Sandusky and Mr. Shilling shared their frustration with the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth the night before? Is it possible that Mr. Shilling took it on himself to plant this flier?
Some very interesting questions. I will wait for the media to start turning the focus back onto the Kerry campaign and, once again, its decietful tactics in this campaign.
He's not. And I'm sure that he knows that the story is BS, as all of us do.
That said, it isn't going to stop the demonRAT lie/spin machine. And, because the lamestream media is completely selling it out for Kerry this year, we can't expect them to even 1) to talk to Travis, 2) to get Travis' quote right, or 3) question the connections of the person who picked up the flier (or did he have it handed to him...he even isn't clear on that) up?

Thanks for the heads up on the Bradley story. I knew that it wasn't something that Travis hadn't done. He hadn't mentioned a word about it and when he is on the radio, he is a promoting machine (rightly so).

The Flyer LOOKED too cute to be real.
But, it wasn't "real" in the sense that it was official documents from the Alachua County GOP.
On a side note, I can tell you that there are fliers all kinds of events going on (kind of like you would find in a breakroom). This was posted up on a easel board that had several other fliers and documents on it. In fact, it looks like someone just slapped it up onto the easel board.
The story is turning out to be a lot more benign than the demoSLEAZE have been trying to make it out to be, something that everyone here has been commenting on since the story broke.
I do find it interesting (and sleazy) that the guy (Bill Shilling) who brought it to the Kerry campaign's' attention was acting like he didn't know all that much about the "no coordination" rule. He gushed, "...I didn't know it was a big deal", when, in fact, he sits on the Board of Advisors for All Veterans for Kerry.
To me, that is the big reveal. And, it is a baren reveal, not just something that we political/news junkies know, but hopefully when the story is clarified about who made the flier, they will also not that the innocent, little Kerry volunteer was actually a board member of one of his most important supporting factions.
Now that Kerry is screaming about it, more people are going to take notice and go out and buy the book or see the ad on a web site.
Heard Kerry has got some other guy to say there was fire coming from the shore, LOL!

So this "volunteer" is really a fellow anti-war activist who just happens to be a member of the advisory board of a veterans group supporting John Kerry. (Hmmm... Most of them belong to the Sierra Club) I wonder if he dissed all the Vietnam Vets and the U.S. Armed Forces like Kerry did? And how many U.S. Armed Forces were KIA because of John Kerry's encouraging the fighting spirits of the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese soldiers, with his group's Anti-war protests? Also this group has the services of Scott (The Assassin) Camil...

I just thought about something. Outside of the fact that the flier seems bogus. (it lists Kerrylies.com as a producing info source...I don't see how candidates and swifties whould list that)...has anyone checked to see if the Swift Veterans even have an event scheduled there at that time, date, and location?
Their board would have to approve it. It would be listed on their site, I imagine.
Interesting, I have seen on the other threads that there was a fax date on the flier of Aug. 18th. THURSDAY WAS THE 19th!
Shilling said he was given the flier on Thursday.
Also, if the GOP were giving out fliers....they would not be faxes.
SO either Shilling got it faxed to him by someone...before the date he claims that he picked it up....or he faxed it to someone...before the date that he claims he picked it up.
Well, what matters now is that they lose the issue in the realm of public opinion, and with the Media on their side, that is tough to get. I agree that they need to release all his military records, Intelligence committee records, health records, Tereza's tax returns . . . . but if it is not made to seem important to the general public . . . and the Media is the only one who can force that . . . then it does not matter. And he wins.
Let's be clear, it's just the Swift Boat Vets ads Kerry wants pulled.
Yesterday I confronted a Dem at their own breakfast in town, and I said "Something ought to be done about George Soros, he's contributed millions to the Democrat 527's to defeat Bush", he said "So the hell what?", and then proceeded to tell me about a rich Texan millionaire contributing to the Swift Boat Veterans, and I said "you just proven my point". If it's one of their own, they have no problem with, if it's a Republican, they want to stifle them from the process. I would just as soon end it all together. CFR is a disaster.
I know, but why does it matter which ads he wants pulled?...The point is he wants to pull ads.
If he can't handle the intense scrutiny, even though he personally invites it every time he opens his yap, he shouldn't be running for President in the first place.
Or he faxed it to himself to give the appearance it was faxed.
This is how Micheal Moore made headlines with his movie, people were screaming about it in the first place, and others were made aware of it in the process. Sooner or later the "others" were so damn curious, they decided to go see MM's movie.
Don't forget the $$$ from Indonesia, whence Clintoon rapidly shut down all the land in So Utah that had clean burning coal that was ready to start mining. Indonesia coal was purchased instead. American jobs lost, cleaner burning coal still in the Utah ground. Clinton doublecrossed the entire Utah congressional representatives,. He lied to Sen Hatch right up to the last minute about declaring S Utah lands National lands of some sort. Millions of acres set aside. LIes, Lies and more lies.
Kerry needs to be reminded:
Don't mess with a junkyard dog.
Don't piss into the wind.
Don't tug on Superman's cape.
Don't mess with the Lone Ranger. (BUSH)
