RNC tells TV stations not to run anti-Bush ads GOP committee says MoveOn.org's spots are illegally financed
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Republican National Committee is warning television stations across the country not to run ads from the MoveOn.org Voter Fund that criticize President Bush, charging that the left-leaning political group is paying for them with money raised in violation of the new campaign-finance law.
.....
But MoveOn.org's lawyer, Joseph Sandler, said in a statement that the ads were funded legally, calling the RNC's letter "a complete misrepresentation of the law."

This is an old article. The point wasn't about the topic of the article but the fact that Joseph Sandler is the DNC general counsel, represents MoveOn.org and wrote a letter representing the Kerry Campaign.
If Sandler was the attorney for MoveOn.org, and the attorney for the DNC, doesn't that make the case that the DNC and MoveOn.org are guilty of coordinating their campaign advertising illegally?
Well, a reasonable person might draw that conclusion. Furthermore, it puts Sandler in a very difficult position. He cannot defend himself, MoveOn.org and the DNC all at the same time, all of which are separate legal entities.
Have you sent this information to any of the lackluster news media?
Woo hoo!! Go Pat Go!!
Does this mean that all those Palm Beach folks who voted for Pat in 2000 will vote for Bush in 2004?
I think Pat just endorsed GWB. He's fighting mad. LOL
The Rats will be screaming for it if the Swifties torpedo their "man". Tens of millions of dollars in anti-Bush 527 ads haven't done a thing to Bush, and a few hundred thousand in Swiftie ads may ruin Kerry. 527's will be DEADLY to the weak candidate who has a lot to hide, and the Dimwits will finally realize that they are their own Achilles heel. The media can only cover so much for them if 527's continue exist and can expose what they want to hide so badly. They wanted their 527's as a way to muzzle Repub donations, intending to "go around" and exploit the law all along. Well, they got them, and now they regret it. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
That sure looks like a direct connect to me
But hey .. what do I know
My thoughts exactly.
But it's backfiring on them beautifully, so who cares. Maybe Bush foresaw this as a way to damage the incredibly weak candidate, who wasn't touchable by normal means. After all, tens of millions in anti-Bush 527 ads, and Bush is still ahead. One little Swifty 527 in three states, and Kerry is teetering.
This is an old article. I posted it because it demonstrates the connections between DNC, Kerry and MoveOn.org through Sandler. I don't think the full article, at the time it was published was damaging. If anything, at the time it would have made the RNC look like a bunch of whiners.
It wasn't damaging to them when they printed it, it was meant to smear the Repubs for trying to stifle Dim 527's. He is merely renminding us of the old article, and the significance of the comments made by Dims THEN, and how they show hypocrisy by their recent anti-Swifty statements. They sang a different tune when the shoe was on the other foot.
Don't forget Kerry's former campaign manager, Jim Jordan:
"......well-organized web of groups with deep pockets and, they say, 20 million members, mobilizing liberals and like-minded voters to they hope oust President Bush.
"Jim Jordan, Kerry's former campaign manager and now a consultant to the groups, refers to the coalition as "sort of a campaign without a candidate."
"We hope obviously to help elect John Kerry, and there's no doubt that what happens at the top of the ticket influences races everywhere," he says. "By putting together real effective and efficient turnout operations, we're hoping to elect Democrats down at the courthouse level, the city council level."
"The groups have names like America Coming Together, the Media Fund and the MoveOn.org Voter Fund. An umbrella organization that keeps the coalition organized is called America Votes.
"Many of the leaders have personal or professional ties to Kerry, former President Bill Clinton, organized labor and just about every leading liberal political organization.
"They are mobilizing volunteers and registering voters, using computers and Palm Pilots in gathering data from each household, broadening their membership and fine-tuning what they hope is a compelling message.
