RNC tells TV stations not to run anti-Bush ads GOP committee says MoveOn.org's spots are illegally financed
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Republican National Committee is warning television stations across the country not to run ads from the MoveOn.org Voter Fund that criticize President Bush, charging that the left-leaning political group is paying for them with money raised in violation of the new campaign-finance law.
.....
But MoveOn.org's lawyer, Joseph Sandler, said in a statement that the ads were funded legally, calling the RNC's letter "a complete misrepresentation of the law."

The above Article identifies MoveOn.org's attorney as Joseph Sandler. Joseph Sandler, is general counsel for the DNC. It will be recalled by all on this forum that Joseph Sandler was co-author of the hit-piece on the Swift Boat Vets written to TV stations warning them not to run the ad.

I think I see a pattern. The Bush/Cheney '04 campaign has not made any moves against the moveon.org type stuff until Kerry/Edwards makes similar moves against Republican-side 527s like the Swiftee ads. Then of course what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Labelling B/C as complainers can't hold much water if they are just doing the same thing as K/E did.

Well Republicans have been pretty mild and not returning fire. Now that republicans are answering accusations and asking some of their own the press is going to portray it as nasty politics.

I think the Congress needs to do an emergency repeal of the asinine CFR laws. Maybe that's where all this will lead.

Use the published heading only please.
I can't find anything too recent that would prove Sandler is still a member of the DNC... things I find go back to the 90's... if anyone can find some proof that he is still working for the DNC, please, share the info! :)

Right. Bush held back and the Swifties are doing more damage to Kerry than Soros, et al, could ever do to W.

Did they give the vote back to the Florida Democrats? I thought they'd been proved too stupid to vote and disqualified.

Joseph Sandler was co-author of the hit-piece on the Swift Boat Vets written to TV stations warning them not to run the ad. Wouldn't that be collusion and coordinating?
