In a way this fact is another piece of input to the original subject of this thread - a Freeper noted my interest in a particular subject and has pinged me to all his threads on the same subject since then. I'd call that a pretty helpful and welcoming thing to do, even if I was not savvy enough to recognize it!
Thanks again CJ for helping me "de-bug" this one.
Let me prove my internet ignorance once again. How do you get on a ping list? Like I daid, I just got into FReepmail yesterday.
To: anonymoussierra
Do you speak Spanish or Portuguesa? The language structure is the same. You can learn English here. Welcome to our house:)

He is asking why I'm laughing. LOL
(I really hope the people here know what rubbings are, or we'll be explaining it all night)

To: Clemenza

Hey, welcome to FR! Don't be depressed if nobody answers you - it doesn't mean nobody's reading you. There are a LOT of people lurking, some friendly, some not necessarily, and some with names you'd recognize.
There are advantages to being a long-timer. For example, sometimes JimRob cuts you a break and gives you a forum that appeals to a specific taste. I think I'm the guy who started the "Exotic Orchids and Bestiality" forum, for example. Well, I seem to be the only one on it, anyway... ;-)
To: conshack
Just asking the keeper of the ping list works for me.

Do you speak Spanish or Portuguesa?Apparently you are not familiar with the sight of Fake Polish. ;D

"I've been here since May and have often found it difficult to get responses/feedback from most of my posts. Seems as though there are a lot of "mini groups" that talk back and forth. Am confident that my inputs are worthy, but often get discouraged. Just my 2 cents."Try putting what you are quoting (as above) in italics. It makes it easier to follow the thread and your logic. Do a freerepublic search for html bootcamp or html sandbox. I'll give you a link if you need it. I am still learning daily.

Thanks CJ, you have described the situation correctly - a number of recipients followed by an elipsis.
You're welcome, but I can't take full credit -- K1avg came up with the correct name for the three dots!
And welcome to FR!
To: conshack
I don't really know how I got on this ping list, but I think the Freeper who maintains it decided to put me on. Stated differently, I don't think you can sign yourself up, I believe the list maintainer has to add your FR userid to his list.
And if you've been on Freepmail since yesterday then you're two days ahead of me ....

You'd have a lot of company for that on a DU site.
